Rue Furch, in our view, is the most experienced, most prepared, and the only candidate who understands the complexity of county government, in the race for 5th District Supervisor. We are very confident that she will to listen to our issues, be open to our opinions and be willing and able to champion our causes when she is elected to the Board of Supervisors. There is a great deal at stake in this race for the future of Sonoma County. We need a leader who can listen to both sides, ascertain what the real issues are and can act and vote accordingly. We have watched Rue at the Planning Commission and know first hand that she asks the right questions and makes good decisions based on the answers. Rue has the knowledge required and the ability to work with the board in a collaborative manner. With respect to the environment, water and land use, Rue is the candidate best equipped to tackle these issues. At the same time, she will be a voice for working people and those of us fighting for human (including immigrant) rights. We are honored to strongly recommend Rue Furch for Fifth District Supervisor.

I wonder why that doesn't make it to the Press Democrat?

Rue Furch has done nothing to help Illegal Immigrants.

Hmmm...not sure what you base your claim on... The three individuals who signed the letter represent leadership of the local immigrant/Latino community. Rue has the endorsement of those organizations, not just the individuals. If you are anti-immigrant, thats your choice. But the people in those communities are very aware of her efforts to promote safe day-labor centers that benefit workers, employers, and the local merchants. She has won improvements in ag labor housing standards. I wont drone on, but the community in question seems to have a different perspective than you.
