Since we all create our own reality I would prefer to think we are all recipients of our own gifts. If you consider yourself a victim of your own needs then you are. Being a victim is super easy but not much fun.

well we make decisions wich are emotionaly based which are not controlled always by reason or logic or even reality if there is a gift in there it is simply life itself.i ask you this .... is your life controlled by your needs?

Q. "how do you feel when your needs are not being met versus when they are being met?"
and like mykil pointed out if our "needs" include water and air...our life is dependent on having these needs met.
i think it is always good to be able to recognize, be aware of and communicate our needs with the hope /possibility they can be met.
another question to consider:
"is our life controlled by our unconscious choices or by our conscious choices?"
and... WHY pry tell , is this subject thread posted in both the "talk" and "censored" category ?
Was there some unmet need that is being met by doing this?
