Does anyone who lives/works in downtown Santa Rosa know what the manure-like stink is? It is prominent in the evening and smells for blocks surrounding the downtown core.

I've smelled it the last couple of nights...sometimes the fields get dressed with manure and the prevailing winds carry it all over town.
There are still fields south, north and west of town and the sea breeze hasn't been around lately to blow it away.
Im resisting mightily the urge to wisecrack about Santa Rosa and the stink.

It's not just in Santa Rosa, but at various times and seasons can be smelled in many parts of the county. I call it the infamous "SONOMA AROMA"!! Just one of the wonderful things about living here!
