Please join us at the inaugural meeting of the WACCO Book GROUP
Out Stealing Horses by Per Patterson is proposed as our first selection.
Our initial meeting to be held Tues October 28th at 6:30. location TBD --let us know if you have suggestions!
We would appreciate knowing who is interested, who can make it at this time, who would like to come but find this a bad time.
This message is brought to you by two Wacco members interested in getting this group off of the ground; your participation, interest, and suggestions are valued as we explore the possibilities of this endeavor.
Please respond to this post publicly or privately for further details, thanks!
With excitement at the prospect, M and B

HI, I'm interested, maybe, in the book group--the book sounds interesting, if maybe a little Norwegian somber. My main questions are: in what area of the county will the group take place, and how large will the group be (so far)? Tues would be a good day for me and 6:30 sounds like an ideal time. Thanks

UPDATE:
Thank you to all who have expressed interest! We are excited by the great energy.
The first meeting will be held:
DATE: October 28, 2008
TIME: 6:30pm--7:15/7:30ish
LOCATION: Infusions Tea House (https://www.infusionsteashop.com/), 6988 McKinley St. Sebastopol (next to Whole Foods) We'll find a spot and make ourselves known!
BRING (optional): Out Stealing Horses (https://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/24/books/review/McGuane.html)**, suggestions for future reads
**As this is our first meeting, all interested folks are enthusiastically invited to join us to contribute input even if you have not read the selection --friends welcome too!
Topics to discuss will include meeting times, locale, group format, and of course books! Thanks to everyone who has responded with feedback. Our primary goal is to have a mixed age/gender group of folks that provides an opportunity to discover & share a variety of (mostly) fiction titles. At this time we have 7+ interested!
Please join us! We are looking forward to meeting you soon.
M & B
Please note: Our intention is to dive into the group with some basic structure without spending too much time on the particulars so we are free to make changes along the way. It is our priority to make the location and the book selections work for all serious about participating, whether this means carpooling, selecting titles available at the library, sharing books, rotating locations, etc.
