Dearest originals,
what poignant nostalgia I'm seeing for what we had! It's heartwarming, and really amazing what we developed out of what can be an isolating and sterile experience -- the web.

For the past two or three years I have been slowly putting together a book about Wacco (working title Wacko for Wacco), the human element reaching through technology, the socializing process, what happened during 9-11, and threads of conversation. This latest development, the disappearance of the bb, and the rich human response coming from every emotion and all kind of behaviors, is offering a perfect ending to the work.

There are a few stories, like helping to find a dog that disappeared, that I had not copied from the archives. When I am ready to edit the book, I'll be asking for your help to fill in and recreate those threads.

Meanwhile, thank you all for being so unabashed and freshly emotional in your individual responses to the end of the wacco bb. If you have something you would like to write or say in addition to what you are posting, that you think would be good for a book like this, please do email me.

By the way, those who do not yet understand how to get to the new site, it is not a yahoo group, it is a website, at www.waccobb.net (https://www.waccobb.net). (I left this in the message posted on this site so people can forward it to others who are not yet here.)

And Tom, I for one will continue to use all the options as long as they exist and are active. This is a transition, and I just see it as the work required to re-create what we had. It's all good. Really. Really really.

love
Suzanna

Hi Suzanna! Just reviewing this area to see what is new. I had forgotten about your posting although I had meant to print out.

How is the book going. I can tell you about the dog that was found by so many of the Wacco people reporting his progress home from Santa Rosa to Occidental. This happened, in fact, twice with the same dog. I do believe that is a very good chapter for your book.

I am replying publicly in hopes it will spur others to do same. That way all the memories of the various Wacco members will be available for others to remind them of their memories, etc.

Anyway, you wrote a nice message and I wish you well.

Dear Suzanna,

I do agree that having Wacco brings a feeling of community to my world that doesn't exist without it and didn't exist before it. I remember turning one friend on to it and they were amazed at how immediately connected and supported they felt. Then I got overloaded with the reality of receiving all those emails, couldn't really understand the short form process, and actually abandoned my old email to get out of the process. I am so glad that we now have the website form and the understandable digest. I feel back in contact and am actually using it more than ever before - for example being here in this moment responding to you. I'm sure your book will be heartwarming. Thanks for writing it and let us know when it's available.

Blessings,

Christina Sukkal
