The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can ‘throw the rascals out’ at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy.

-Carroll Quigley – Bill Clinton's mentor and author of Tragedy & Hope

SUPPORT A THIRD PARTY CANDIDATE

We Agree - Paul, Baldwin, McKinney, Nader Statement

The Republican/Democrat duopoly has, for far too long, ignored the most important issues facing our nation. However, alternate candidates Chuck Baldwin, Cynthia McKinney, and Ralph Nader agree with Ron Paul on four key principles central to the health of our nation. These principles should be key in the considerations of every voter this November and in every election.

We Agree

Foreign Policy: The Iraq War must end as quickly as possible with removal of all our soldiers from the region. We must initiate the return of our soldiers from around the world, including Korea, Japan, Europe and the entire Middle East. We must cease the war propaganda, threats of a blockade and plans for attacks on Iran, nor should we re-ignite the cold war with Russia over Georgia. We must be willing to talk to all countries and offer friendship and trade and travel to all who are willing. We must take off the table the threat of a nuclear first strike against all nations.

Privacy: We must protect the privacy and civil liberties of all persons under US jurisdiction. We must repeal or radically change the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, and the FISA legislation. We must reject the notion and practice of torture, eliminations of habeas corpus, secret tribunals, and secret prisons. We must deny immunity for corporations that spy willingly on the people for the benefit of the government. We must reject the unitary presidency, the illegal use of signing statements and excessive use of executive orders.

The National Debt: We believe that there should be no increase in the national debt. The burden of debt placed on the next generation is unjust and already threatening our economy and the value of our dollar. We must pay our bills as we go along and not unfairly place this burden on a future generation.

The Federal Reserve: We seek a thorough investigation, evaluation and audit of the Federal Reserve System and its cozy relationships with the banking, corporate, and other financial institutions. The arbitrary power to create money and credit out of thin air behind closed doors for the benefit of commercial interests must be ended. There should be no taxpayer bailouts of corporations and no corporate subsidies. Corporations should be aggressively prosecuted for their crimes and frauds.

Dear Friends,

Whenever a Great Bipartisan Consensus is announced, and a compliant media assures everyone that the wondrous actions of our wise leaders are being taken for our own good, you can know with absolute certainty that disaster is about to strike.

The events of the past week are no exception.

The bailout package that is about to be rammed down Congress' throat is not just economically foolish. It is downright sinister. It makes a mockery of our Constitution, which our leaders should never again bother pretending is still in effect. It promises the American people a never-ending nightmare of ever-greater debt liabilities they will have to shoulder. Two weeks ago, financial analyst Jim Rogers said the bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac made America more communist than China! "This is welfare for the rich," he said. "This is socialism for the rich. It's bailing out the financiers, the banks, the Wall Streeters."

That describes the current bailout package to a T. And we're being told it's unavoidable.

The claim that the market caused all this is so staggeringly foolish that only politicians and the media could pretend to believe it. But that has become the conventional wisdom, with the desired result that those responsible for the credit bubble and its predictable consequences - predictable, that is, to those who understand sound, Austrian economics - are being let off the hook. The Federal Reserve System is actually positioning itself as the savior, rather than the culprit, in this mess!

• The Treasury Secretary is authorized to purchase up to $700 billion in mortgage-related assets at any one time. That means $700 billion is only the very beginning of what will hit us.

• Financial institutions are "designated as financial agents of the Government." This is the New Deal to end all New Deals.

• Then there's this: "Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency." Translation: the Secretary can buy up whatever junk debt he wants to, burden the American people with it, and be subject to no one in the process.

There goes your country.

Even some so-called free-market economists are calling all this "sadly necessary." Sad, yes. Necessary? Don't make me laugh.

Our one-party system is complicit in yet another crime against the American people. The two major party candidates for president themselves initially indicated their strong support for bailouts of this kind - another example of the big choice we're supposedly presented with this November: yes or yes. Now, with a backlash brewing, they're not quite sure what their views are. A sad display, really.

Although the present bailout package is almost certainly not the end of the political atrocities we'll witness in connection with the crisis, time is short. Congress may vote as soon as tomorrow. With a Rasmussen poll finding support for the bailout at an anemic seven percent, some members of Congress are afraid to vote for it. Call them! Let them hear from you! Tell them you will never vote for anyone who supports this atrocity.

The issue boils down to this: do we care about freedom? Do we care about responsibility and accountability? Do we care that our government and media have been bought and paid for? Do we care that average Americans are about to be looted in order to subsidize the fattest of cats on Wall Street and in government? Do we care?

When the chips are down, will we stand up and fight, even if it means standing up against every stripe of fashionable opinion in politics and the media?

Times like these have a way of telling us what kind of a people we are, and what kind of country we shall be.

In liberty,

Ron Paul

"I know the secret of making the average American believe anything I want him to.
Just let me control television.... You put something on the television and it becomes reality.
If the world outside the TV set contradicts the images, people start trying to change the world
to make it like the TV set images....''
- Hal Becker, media expert and management consultant, the Futures Group, in an interview in 1981

Fake Tv News: Widespread And Undisclosed
Over a ten-month period, the Center for Media and Democracy (CMD) documented television newsrooms' use of 36 video news releases
(VNRs) —a small sample of the thousands produced each year. CMD identified 77 television stations,
from those in the largest to the smallest markets, that aired these VNRs
or related satellite media tours (SMTs) in 98 separate instances, without disclosure to viewers.
Collectively, these 77 stations reach more than half of the U.S. population.
The VNRs and SMTs whose broadcast CMD documented were produced by three broadcast PR firms for 49 different clients,
including General Motors, Intel, Pfizer and Capital One. In each case, these 77 television stations actively disguised
the sponsored content to make it appear to be their own reporting.

The following is a reader email that comes by way of George Ure's Urban Survival website.
I've added a couple links at the end. Underlined words in the text are links.
Sorry if this post is upsetting, but I really don't think we have much time left. It's really time to wake up now.

"Since 9/11, our Constitutional rights have been systematically dismantled:

1. USA Patriot Act (https://epic.org/privacy/terrorism/hr3162.html) - A 342 page document presented to Congress one day before voting on it that allows the government access to your bank and email accounts, as well as your medical and phone records with no court order. They can also search your home anytime without a warrant.

2. USA Patriot Act II (https://w2.eff.org/Censorship/Terrorism_militias/patriot-act-II-analysis.php) - This one allows secret government arrests, the legal authority to seize your American citizenship, and the extraction of your DNA if you are deemed a potential terrorist.

3. Military Commissions Act of 2006 (https://www.loc.gov/rr/frd/Military_Law/MC_Act-2006.html) - Ends habeas corpus, the right to an attorney, and the right to court review of one's detention and arrest. Without this most basic right, all other rights are gone too since anyone can be detained indefinitely. Now anyone may be arrested and incarcerated and nobody would know.

4. NSPD 51 (https://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/05/20070509-12.html) - A directive signed by George W. Bush on May 9, 2007, that allows the President to declare martial law, effectively transforming the U.S. into a dictatorship with no checks and balances from the Legislative or Judicial Branches. Parts of this directive are considered classified and members of Congress have been denied the right to review it.

5. Protect America Act of 2007 (https://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/08/20070806-5.html) - Allows unprecedented domestic wiretapping and surveillance activities with a reduction in FISA court oversight. Probable cause is not needed.

6. John Warner Defense Authorization Act (https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?tab=summary&bill=h109-5122) - Signed by George W. Bush on October 17, 2007, this act allows the President to declare a public emergency and station troops anywhere in America without the consent of the governor or local authorities to "suppress public disorder.

7. Homegrown Terrorism and Radicalization Act (https://www.opencongress.org/bill/110-h1955/show) - Passed overwhelmingly by Congress on October 23, 2007, is now awaiting a Senate vote. This act will beget a new crackdown on dissent and the Constitutional rights of American citizens. The definitions of "terrorism" and "extremism" are so vague that they could be used to generalize against any group that is working against the policies of the Administration. In this bill, "violent radicalization" criminalizes thought and ideology while "homegrown terrorism" is defined as "the planed use of force to coerce the government." The term, "force" could encompass political activities such as protests, marches, or any other form of non-violent resistance.

So when you add in:

1. Halliburton Confirms Camps Constructed (https://thewalk.com/wp/2008/04/12/halliburton-confirms-concentration-camps-already-constructed/)
2. Halliburton's Immigrant Detention Centers (https://www.commondreams.org/views06/0418-27.htm)
3. Homeland Security Contracts for Vast New Detention Camps (https://news.pacificnews.org/news/view_article.html?article_id=eed74d9d44c30493706fe03f4c9b3a77)
4. Halliburton Confirms Concentration Camps Already Constructed (https://shadowgovernment.wordpress.com/2007/11/28/halliburton-confirms-concentration-camps-already-constructed/)
5. KBR awarded Homeland Security contract worth up to $385M (https://www.marketwatch.com/News/Story/Story.aspx?guid=%7B62C8724D-AE8A-4B5C-94C7-70171315C0A0%7D&dateid=38741.5136277662-858254656)
6. This (https://www.halliburton.com/default/main/halliburton/eng/news/source_files/news.jsp?newsurl=/default/main/halliburton/eng/news/source_files/press_release/2006/kbrnws_012406.html) from Halliburton's own website

Left, right, man, woman, white black brown... This is why they keep us fighting:

They're afraid we might figure out that we can unite against them!

Think of the world as a wonderful living organism. They are the cancer!
They start the wars, and cause much of the misery in the world.
For power and greed! They are sick, sick people.
We just want to live in peace, enjoy our lives, and care for our children.
And so do people in the rest of the world.
McBama is not going to change anything, they are only the front men
for the real power holders, who rule from behind the scenes (where they won't be voted out).
They meet in secret, and keep us distracted with the left/right puppet show.
McBama only argues about how they'll continue the imperialism, or how they will get the taxes from the people.
Know who the real policymakers are. It's their agenda that is being carried out.

A message from Ron Paul:

Dear Friends,

Our journey together has been truly historic. As the final votes are tabulated and the curtain closes on this election, we must take time to reflect on our successes even as we turn our attention to the task before us.

Our campaign has stirred the sleeping giant by showing millions that freedom, peace, and prosperity are achievable. We know that these things can come about only through sound money, limited government and a respect for the inherent rights of every individual. We have awakened the political class to the popularity and viability of Liberty. And, most of all, we have awoken within ourselves a spirit of freedom and independence that cannot be suppressed by any ruler, army, or philosophy of subservience and fear.

Yet we must not reflect long. We must press our efforts and lay the groundwork for the future of our movement and our country. The 2010 election cycle is just around the corner. We must redouble our efforts to educate our fellow citizens, recruit and support liberty candidates, and marshal our resources for the battle ahead.

Ours is the most solemn charge of all: to defend Liberty in this bleak hour lest the very notion that man might best govern himself be scoured from this land and from the conscience of mankind.

In our campaign for liberty, we’re just getting started. Let the Revolution begin.

Ron Paul

The stockpiling of these in the middle of Georgia (USA) is even more disturbing.

Well ... I can see there are a large number of plastic boxes. Unless the "occupants" weigh 400 lbs. I can't imagine why they'd be so big. They don't look like coffins to me. Check out the picture of the guy fitting the lid on top. They look two to three times as deep as necessary to hold a full grown man. Why would they make them so big? And why all the same size? If there were hundreds of thousands of bodies and they really needed to be stored (which doesn't make much sense) wouldn't they want to make the containers as small as they could? This wouldn't be about comfort.

I understand there are photos here. I watched a couple of videos. What I can't find is the source of the sketches with all the numbers and arrows on them and the sketch of the happy guy in his underwear. (He doesn't look very dead.) Where did they come from? Perhaps drawn up by a conspiracy theorist?

OK, another case of you not following your own links. Mystery solved. Those casket boxes are not being "stockpiled." They were manufactured years ago and then specs changed that made them unusable. And there aren't millions of them or even hundreds of thousands of them.

It looks like they're awaiting recycling. No scandal. Not FEMA. They're used by the military to contain caskets buried at military graveyards. War heroes you know.

Thanks for checking that out. But you are so often wrong with what you post that I'll check it out more in detail on my own when I have time. Because I saw comments and satellite photos showing that there are more of them now.

BTW I said it was disturbing - not whether what others are saying is true or not. I gave links to discussions on the subject.

Yes, all should see these videos and see how they have deluded themselves. It's amazing how short sighted and gullible people are, and it's because at the core they are just selfish, lazy and don't want to be responsible for themselves.

Only an uninformed and ignorant fool would believe that Obama is anything more than a puppet for the powers that truly run the World, or that he will follow through on anything he has said (He has yet to fullfill any of the promises he made when he was campaigning to become a State Senator, so why would he change?). Obama is outwardly a mirror image of George Bush, but they have the exact same agenda inside.

Wait until he declares war on Pakistan and/or Iran, and raises your taxes through the roof to pay for it all. Forget about that healthcare he promised you, because he never had any plans to follow through.

The elite of the CFR and Trilateral Comission, have the public completely fooled and distracted as they slowly but surely create a World goverment where there is no middle class, just lots of people that are poor or barely above it, and a very small, very rich ruling class, the exact oposite of what you were promised.

Welcome to spending your life paying interest on credit you should have never used, the banks own you now. The own your house, they own your car, they own your life, and they tell you what you can and can't do, and if you don't, the police lock you up, and the banks take back their possesions that you thought were yours.

Say goodbye to your money and your freedoms, that's what you get for believing what logic tells you is impossible just because it sounds good. Socialism and bigger government have never produced anything but enforced mediocrity, and an enslaved and owned people that have no freedom and no control.

Welcome to the new World order that you gleefully chose to support and be part of, a ruling class that only cares how much you can do for them.

Bye, bye America, it was nice while it lasted...

Indeed.

Only an uninformed and ignorant fool would believe that Obama is anything more than a puppet for the powers that truly run the WorldThanks for the laughs. Now is the time for all non-gullible people to build concrete shelters in a secret location. Or, better yet, sell everything, grab several packets of Kool Aid, and move to the hidden compound in the Tumac-Humac mountains of French Guiana. Oops...I wasn't supposed to tell anyone about that. Last communication, as they'll be after me now...

San Francisco (with Cindy Sheehan)

"It was a beautiful day in San Francisco. Three friends and I from the Fresno C4L Meet-up drove the 180 miles to "The City" for today's march. There was maybe 100-150 noisy happy people there. As I walked along yelling "END THE FED" I became aware of a lady walking her small dog next to me being very friendly and commenting on the march. I turned and was suprised to see Cindy Shehan. She was very pleasant and did the whole 2 mile march with us. Beautiful weather. Lots of signs. a very loud throng of Paultoids getting the message of liberty out to the sheeple."

Ron Paul is an anti-abortion fascist.

Edward

You might want to check the difinition and origins of the word facist, it has nothing to do with either a pro, or anti abortion stance. Facists, ie: Germany, Spain and to a lesser extent Italy of the 1930's and 1940's were first and foremost, socialists who believed that their cause made them special, and as such, they had a right and a duty to stamp out anti-socialists, This eventually lead to racism becoming part of the definition of a facist.

Now if that doesn't sound like Obama, Pelosi, Reid and most of the liberals and Wacco members, I don't know what does, but it certainly doesn't describe Ron Paul.

If you are so blinded as to throw out the baby with the bathwater on such a trivial thing as a person's stance on abortion, gay marriage or any of the other unsolveable issues instead of worrying about the security, and the economy of our country, I really am at a loss for words regarding your lack of ability to focus on the reality of our most basic of needs.

If we don't have physical and economic security, you are not going to have a country left in which to debate minor crap. This is a classic case of cutting off your nose to spite your face. What's more important, not being attacked by Islamic extremists and making sure that you and future generations can put food on the table, or worrying whether a person things a woman should, or should not be allowed to murder her child?

Who really cares about abortion, since abortion has as much chance of being made completely illegal again as the return of prohibition. This is as silly as the whole prop. 8 thing. Gays will simply find a way around the law, by going out of the State or the country. Both of these issues are nothing but distractions from the real issues that determine whether we as a country will continue to exist, or very quickly become yet another has been.

As long as the Liberal hate on anti-abortion and anti-gay, and the Conservatives hate on pro-abortion, and pro-gay, we will remain a divided country, and as such we will be ruled by the exact same puppeteers of the CFR and other political and financial elite that have pulled the strings on every President including the current one since November of 1963.

Ever heard the phrase: "The more things change, the more they stay the same"? Nothing better describes what our two party system has done for the last 46 years. Have you noticed that we have made really no significant changes to the way our economy operates, and no significant changes to our foreign policy in the last 46 years, whether under the extreme left of Carter, or the extreme right of Bush? OK, so Bush was the first one to finally take a firm stand against Islam, but the point is not lessened by this single act, other than this, we are exactly where we were in 1967, 1977, 1987, 1997 and 2007. We still spend billions playing the World's cop, and we keep buying things we can't afford ie: Social programs, we keep writing checks that are NSF, and when the bounce, we write yet more checks. How much longer do you think we, and specifically Obama can keep this up?

Some basic facts for you: from 1932 to 1940, FDR's "New Deal" didn't bring unemployment down more than 2%, while at the same time, our national debt trebeled and our economy underwent approx 50% inflation. The only thing that saved FDR's ass was the war, and gosh and by golly, while the nation's conservative Democrats and Republican's were against intervening, FDR was trying his damndest to get us envolved in any way he could, and we have been floating the debt of our economy ever since then.

If we had not supported Britain with "Lend-Lease", Britain would have still survived as Germany and the USSR would still be locked in an endless war. Instead of dealing with Japan in 1935 as the military wanted so that it would have been a much smaller and thus less expensive campaign, FDR waited and pushed the Japanese into a corner until 1941, knowing full well that a big war would solve the immediate economic issues, but pass them on to future generations (That would be us).

Unlike our current lying, racist facist of a President who has not a clue as to how to fix the economy except to print and spend more money thereby further indebting and inflating our economy, Ron Paul actually has a workable and realistic plan to rebuild our country's economy. Unlike Obambi's pie in the sky plan which most economists have dismissed as nothing more than stall tactics, Ron's plan to do away with the Fed, regulate the multi trillion dollar market of credit debit swaps, curtail illegal imigration, cut spending across the board and virtually do away with B credit loans, will actually turn our economy around.

70+ years of spending money we don't have, and floating it on credit is finally coming due, the days of robbing Peter to pay Paul, writing checks to pay for bounced checks and transfering credit card balances are about at an end. It's time to bite the bullet, and pay up, so we can get one with re-building on a solid house, on a solid foundation instead of building a house of cards on sand.

Want to know how badly the New Deal failed? In 1932 an ounce of gold was worth $20, in 2009 that same ounce is worth $840, our dollar has inflated 42 times. Ah you say, but look at everybody else, a British pound used to equal 16 ounces sterling silver, and now an ounce is $11, yes, that's quite true, and they all have a day of reconning soon coming, because the World follows the dollar. A few short years ago the Euro and the dollar were at parity, while today the Euro equals $1.42, that's a 50% inflation of our economy in just a couple of years. You can bet that this inequality will not last for long, and the EU is rightfully very nervous.

The sooner we stop spending and start paying, the sooner we can recover. So what's Obama's plan? He wants to try the same failed plan that FDR tried and hope that it buys him more time, 8 years to be precise. Why? Because those who tell him what to do, want to see us that much more enslaved to credit, so that they can call the shots. When you purchase something on credit, you don't actually own it until it's paid off, in the meantime, the banks own you.

Ron Paul's plan is supported by the same majority of big name economists that say Obama's plan will not work. All the big name economists (the ones that are always right), are predicting a massive economic meltdown that will put the depression of the 1930's to shame if we don't do a 180 from spending and printing more money immediately.

The answer is simple: Stop spending money we don't have on social programs we can't afford, stop importing, and start exporting, stop buying on credit and open a savings account.

As soon as you say these things, people go haywire: "We can't cut out the social programs, what will the poor do?" well they are going to certainly have a much worse time if we put it off and we sink lower and it takes longer to recover. One way or another, a lot of people are going to have some really hard times in the near future.

"But I need a new video game box and a TV for my kids, because I wouldn't want to deny them what everybody else has, so I'll just put a Chinese made product on my credit card". Better idea, why don't you take the time to teach your children about science, so they can become self sufficient people who produce things OTHER countries buy. Why don't you put that monthly payment in the piggy bank, so when you get laid off, you can still make payments to the bank on the house that they own that you live in so that you can hang on to all the money you have invested in the house already

"Oh, but those Mexicans are hard workers, America was made of immigrants". Yes, but these particular immigrants come up here and take advantage of all the social programs, they don't contribute anything towards them by not paying taxes, they send the majority of the money back to Mexico, and they clog up our legal system with their drugs, gangs and violence. Additionally we pay a lot of money to effectively have entire States are that are bi-lingual, even Canada just uses one language per area.

And then we have the Fed, an institution of chaos, that effectively controls most of the economy and benefits not the people, but the bankers. Nothing more needs to be said.

So, let's see, Ron Paul has a plan to free us from our debt, and make us a strong country again, but you are opposed to the man because of his personal belief that women should not kill their unborn children. Gee, that makes a lot of sense, drink some more Kool-aid, and re-watch some of Obama's "hope and change" speeches.

Nobody ever got anywhere by hopeing, they got there by doing, and when the new President and his whole staff are all members of the same CFR that provided our last President and his staff, you can bet that there will be no real change. If you don't understand that, then I suggest you read some of the other posts here that explain Obama and his staff's CFR membership.

The money is all gone, there is no more money to spend unless we print more, and if we print more money, it's all worth less than it was, and we will have to print yet more.

It's time to tighten our belts, stop spending, stop importing products and labor, stop letting the Fed de-value our dollar, It's time to stop with the "wants" and focus on providing for the "needs" without going further into debt.

A lot of people are going to go without even their needs being met, but if we don't stop spending money we don't have on all the social programs that we can't afford, there's going to be a whole lot more people without their needs being met. Socialism doesn't raise people up, it drags them down. Socialism is enforced mediocrity for the masses, except a select few.

60+ % of all the patents filed in the World are from America, not because it's such a socialist paradise and nobody has to do any better than the next guy to survive, but because not only is there is the opportunity for everyone to take your original ideas, and by hard work and sacrifice turn them into something great, but there is also the possibility of bettering yourself financially. That trickles down to those that have less, in the form of jobs, taxes paid, and often by charity. Likewise, the majority of the World's charitable acts are done and paid for by Americans, while the citizens of socialist countries don't lift a finger for charity because they expect the government to take care of it for them.

If you want real change, vote for the center, because the left and right are the exact same thing at the root, they are just dressed differently. The whole thing is just a giant "good cop/bad cop" game, and everyone seems to forget that they are still both cops.

Dr. Paul believes that abortions should be a decision between the patient and doctor, and that the federal government should not be involved. He is personally against abortions, based on his 30 year experience as a OBGYN and has delivered over 4,000 babies. Regarding gay marriage, he believes that the federal government should stay out of that as well, as marriage has traditionally been a religious ceremony.

Are you saying that he favors the federal government rescinding all laws relating to legally married couples, such as IRS regulations, immigration laws, etc.?

Valley Oak, you are lost to reality if you can somehow twist that to mean that the man is a facist. Look up the difinition of facist, YOUR IGNORANCE IS SHINING THROUGH. What is your next proclomation of sheer stupidity, that anyone that doesn't support the right of a woman to murder her child is somehow a fascist? There are lots of anti-abortion people out there who say that anybody that supports a woman in murdering her child is a facist.

Neither of you are correct, abortion has nothing to do with facisism.

For a real eye opener, consider this:

Q: Who fought against the fascists?
A: The Republicans.

It appears that they will let anybody into sonoma.edu nowadays, certainly you must be a student, no instructor could be so ignorant.

Wait, I take that back, I have found many University professors to be living in a seperate reality, where things are the way that they and their fellow instructors say they are, regardless of evidence to the contrary, simply because they read it somewhere, they have a PhD, and they said so. It is a sad truth that many professors never leave the college campus, and temper their so-called "learning" with a dose of reality. They continue to parrot delusions and untruths that everybody in the real world knows to be fantasy.

2010 WE RETAKE CONGRESS
Our goal is to find and support at least one candidate to run in all 435 congressional districts in 2010 who will solemnly swear to uphold our non-partisan platform that covers 3 areas:
• Foreign Policy: Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Foreign military occupations must end as quickly as possible with the return of our soldiers from around the world. We must stand strong in our defense. We must not use our military as a bargaining tool. We must not act as world police. We must not use our military to train or otherwise aid others. We must talk to other countries and offer friendship and trade and travel.
• Civil Liberties: We must protect the privacy and civil liberties of all persons under US jurisdiction. The government must not regulate the content of the media.
• The Economy: Honesty and transparency must be returned to our financial system. There should be no increase in the national debt. There should be a thorough investigation, evaluation and audit of the Federal Reserve System. The arbitrary power to create money and credit out of thin air with no oversight must be ended. There should be no taxpayer bailouts of corporations and no corporate subsidies. Corporations and individuals should be aggressively prosecuted for their financial crimes and frauds.
This website will provide a general plan and provide an automated system by which candidates and volunteers can coordinate, and share ideas and strategies.

LOS ANGELES REPUBLICAN PARTY REPLACES OLD-LINE LEADERSHIP
On Saturday, December 6, 2008, the Republican Party of Los Angeles County (RPLAC) met at the Ronald Reagan State Office Building in Los Angeles to choose its leadership for the next two years. After a brief but intensive parliamentary battle with the entrenched leadership, control was wrested away by a newly formed coalition of those who were anxious to re-dedicate and re-energize the Party along traditional Republican principles and strategies. Ron Paul and Ed Griffin of Freedom Force International have urged their supporters to become active in political parties. That's exactly what happened in Los Angeles, dramatically demonstrating that it can be done.

Linda Boyd had been the Chairman of RPLAC for six years, and many felt it was time for her to leave and for the Republican Party to get back to its roots of: limited constitutional government, fiscal responsibility, sound monetary policy, Second Amendment rights, strong national defense, a non-interventionist foreign policy, personal freedom, and opposition to illegal immigration...

What's Ron Paul Up To?

It's an economic crisis he largely predicted -- so what's former presidential candidate / Rep. Ron Paul up to these days? He's thinking about the long-term. His campaign for Liberty will start training activists at eight regional summits this year while it continues to urge followers to work against the stimulus and bailout measures in Congress. More than 500 activists are expected to attend the first summit in St. Louis from March 25 to 27. The second summit is scheduled for April in Jacksonville and a third tentatively set for Seattle. Campaign for Liberty's Senior Vice President Jesse Benton said five more summits will be held if the first three are successful...

Pennsylvania Joins Sovereignty Fight

The Problem: States Under Seige

Most Americans – by simply reading the text – understand the nature of the 10th Amendment. It ensures that any powers not granted to the federal government through the Constitution are reserved to the states and the people.
However, through various expansions of federal authority, the government in Washington, D.C., has impeded on the powers reserved to the states and the people.
This significant transfer of powers from the individual states to the national government came not through revolution, but through ongoing and unchecked encroachments. Now, this federal intrusion on state sovereignty has reached a breaking point.
Below are some examples where national government has or could infringe on state sovereignty:

* By collecting taxes from state residents and then using that money to compel sovereign state governments – through the use of “strings” attached to federal funding – to implement programs and provide services in accordance with the desires of federal authorities.

* By pushing states toward financial distress by providing financial incentives to implement programs and services without supplying adequate federal funding.

* By enacting national laws that go far beyond the federal powers enumerated in the U.S. Constitution.

* By potentially providing federal funds to fill state budget deficits, which were created – in part – through over-spending prompted by federal financial incentives to create new programs.

Paul Supporters Lead Fight to Restore State Sovereignty in Oklahoma
the 10th Amendment in our nation's Bill of Rights has long been despised by our big government foes. That amendment was drafted to enshrine in the Constitution what the Founders and the original states already knew: any power not expressly given to the federal government is kept by the states and the people. Although a lot of freedom-minded individuals have long fought for full compliance with this amendment in modern times, there has been a void of leadership and a lack of focused action - until now. That void has been filled by the formation of Campaign for Liberty, which was born from Ron Paul's galvanizing 2008 Presidential campaign. Campaign for Liberty is fighting in state legislatures across the country and in Congress to preserve and restore constitutional rights to all citizens, to subdue an out of control federal government, and to win back our lost freedom...

Obviously the so-called stimulus was going to get passed, because Obama owed too many favors for getting his office. but you might want to know what the country's's leading economics professors thought about it. This is a copy of the full page ad they took in the NYT and the WP:

There is no disagreement that we need action by our government, a recovery plan that will help to jumpstart the economy.

Notwithstanding reports that all conomists are now Keynesians and that we all upport a big increase in the burden of
government, we the undersigned do not believe that more government spending is a way to improve economic performance.

More government spending by Hoover and Roosevelt did not pull the United States economy out of the Great Depression in the 1930s. More government spending did not solve Japan’s “lost decade” in the 1990s. As such, it is a triumph of hope over experience to believe that more government spending will help the U.S. today. To improve the economy, policymakers should
focus on reforms that remove impediments to work, saving, investment and production. Lower tax rates and a reduction in the burden of government are the best ways of using fiscal policy to boost growth.

Left, right, man, woman, white black brown... This is why they keep us fighting:

They're afraid we might figure out that we can unite against them!

Well ... I can see there are a large number of plastic boxes. Unless the "occupants" weigh 400 lbs. I can't imagine why they'd be so big. They don't look like coffins to me.

Wrong again Braggi. Wrong again.

Thanks for checking that out. But you are so often wrong with what you post that I'll check it out more in detail on my own when I have time. ...

Maybe you could point out three times I've been wrong so I can offer apologies.

-Jeff

I never bothered with this but I had pointed out your being wrong on another thread long before you posted the above. See post #186 here:

https://www.waccobb.net/forums/waccotalk/37657-al-gore-global-warming-agenda-4.html#post71553

And there's been a lot since, including the coffins. Yeah, maybe you should apologize for stating things which are wrong all the time and leading people in the wrong direction...

DR. RAND PAUL "MONEY BOMB" FOR US SENATE ON AUGUST 20 (STARTS TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT EST)

more info at www.dailypaul.com (https://anonym.to/?https://www.dailypaul.com)

RETAKE CONGRESS!

Our goal is to find and support at least one candidate to run in all 435 congressional districts in 2010 who will solemnly swear to uphold this simple non-partisan platform that covers 4 areas:

The Economy: Honesty and transparency must be returned to our financial system. There should be a thorough investigation and evaluation of the Federal Reserve System. The arbitrary power to create money with no oversight must be ended. There should be no increase in the national debt. The Federal Government needs to stay out of the affairs of private business. There should be no taxpayer bailouts of corporations and no corporate subsidies.

Individual Rights: Individual rights and sovereignty are supreme and inherent. The proper role of government is to protect our unalienable rights to life, liberty, and property. The federal government must serve the people by protecting these rights within the borders of the states that make up the union. We must repeal the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, and the FISA legislation. We must reject the notion and practice of torture, elimination of habeas corpus, secret tribunals, and secret prisons. We must deny immunity for corporations that spy willingly on the American people for the benefit of the government. We must return the checks and balances as intended by the founders. The illegal use of signing statements and illegal use of executive orders must be ended. The government must not regulate the content of the media.

Foreign Policy: We must stand for a strong national defense. The military is the main responsibility of the Federal Government. Our military should be used to protect only our citizens and defend our borders. We need to get our troops out of foreign countries and politics. Our foreign policy should not impose our will or way of life on other nations. We must not act as world police. We must reject international treaties that could destroy our national sovereignty.

Congressional Promise: No member of congress should ever vote for any bill they have not read!

>>Congressional Promise: No member of congress should ever vote for any bill they have not read!

This sounds fine, except that it's aburd in terms of how things actually work. I quite agree that Congressmen should know what they're voting for. But that's why Congress has committees and that's why Congressmen have large staffs. If a Senator personally had to read every word of a 500 pp bill today, a 1,000 pp bill tomorrow, he'd be a mind-blown idiot. These things are often delegated, and if he doesn't actually know what's in the bill, he's got a lousy staff and they've got a lousy boss.

But this kind of "common-sense" quip is just another tomato to throw.

>>www.retakecongress.com (https://www.retakecongress.com/)

The candidate purports to be "independent" and calls his website this? "Retaken" by whom? Is my memory so dim that I'm mistaken that the Republicans had control of the US Congress from 1994 to 2006, ran up vast deficits, and generally made a balls of it?

Cheers-
Conrad

...

That's actually not a promise. That's a "should."
