Below is a paragraph from this week's Time magazine article on Sarah Palin:


"[Former Wasilla mayor] Stein says that as mayor, Palin continued to
inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. "She asked the
library how she could go about banning books," he says, because some
voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. "The librarian
was aghast." The librarian, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for
comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire her for not giving "full support" to the mayor."

Where did you find Governor Palin's banned book list? Does this list come from Mary Ellen Baker? I'd just like to know that this list is legitimate before passing it on to my family.

Steph, I appreciate the follow up, but just having that list on Waccobb is, I think, a problem. Someone could just read and repost the original list even though it's wrong.

I do think this thread is valuable, but could you put a big "snip" in place of the list of books, perhaps with an explanation that the list was in error.

That way it could prevent misconceptions immediately.
