I seem to recall there being a Wacco book club? Does anyone know if this is ongoing and if so where to get information?
Are there otherwise any other book clubs local to Sonoma County that anyone knows of or are there others who would potentially want to form a book club? Personally I'm open to fiction or non-fiction and a variety of genres.

I would have interest. What kind of books have some importance to me. I would rather read fiction, but would be open to some non-fiction but not as a steady diet.
Thanks, Bruce

Thanks for responding Bruce! I share your "leanings" toward fiction, with occasional non-fiction including a medley of memoirs and others like Michael Pollan, Malcolm Gladwell...other feedback is absolutely invited!

Sign me up! I'm open to nearly any type of literature! I just finished my big, junky suspense novel.

The sonoma county library has a discussion group about the chosen book. On Thursday september 11 the book will be "Truth and Beauty" by Ann Patchett. 12:30 at the guerneville branch on Armstrong Rd. They stock up on copies one can borrow, hence I can continue to purge my book collection whilst enjoying current lit.(2004) I often will read the book up for discussion as a kind of pulse taking of the library community. I'd love to see someone step forward to lead/organize a Wacco book club!
There could be a thread of suggestions for a book to read and then a vote to pick the finalists and then a second vote, or organized any other way...
Will someone step forward to help it get organized?

Bruce and I have been e-mailing, any and all feedback would be great.
Thanks for the interest so far, if interested folks keep posting (and if any are also motivated to help organize please say so) that will help give an idea of participation.
Thanks!
