View Full Version : Advice for Portia's Tickle Parlor and volunteers needed.

I am setting up a Tickle Parlor at Burning Man and need advice.

1) What are good things to tickle people with that are fairly santitary and fun? Clean fingers of course. Keep in mind that feathers are not welcome on the Playa and electricity is limited.

2) How do you like to be tickled?

3) Want to join the team? Short hours work; flexible schedule; fun work..

4) Any other advice or cute names for our menu?

Here is my plan:

A small volunteer team trained and managed by me will tickle self selected folks on a sheet covered massage table until they call out the word they chose in advance to get us to stop - which is posted on a white board with in their view. So if they picked "Mt. Rushmore" the tickler won't stop
if they say stop or uncle or whatever. However, if someone becomes agitated
and/or doesn't remember their word and keep saying stop, stop, stop, we will
stop.

We will be tickling with clean fingers and a variety of items that don't
involve feathers.

I may also have a Tom Jones honorary panty display with occasional Tom Jones music. "What's New Pussycat"... I plan to start with new underwear (that will be used again) but am unsure how to invite others to particpate without dealing with sick humor.

I just realized I should have posted in response to this ooops and some add! LOL

Okay copy and paste time!

Silk! Different textures. From cold and slick like metals to warm and course. Scarves are WONDERFUL for this!

Marbles! Oh my its been years but marbles across ones skin in varying pressures. Cold, hard and gently to warm and slick so cool.

Anything frayed to recreate the feather touch.

Hair brushes, paint brushes, sponges - all in varying textures and products. Boar hair shaving brushes to knobby plastics.

Hope that helps.

OH YEH!!!

Where do I find you!

Fake Fur or real fur if you aren't offended. Nothing like rabbit fur to be tickled and luxuriated in.

Names:

Tickled Pink I assume is a given

sounds like so much fun, wish we could do it here.
some people connect tickling with physical abuse(two older brothers holding down an experimental subject when mom isn't watching can go beyond fun) I think a sign acknowledging that dynamic, and this seen as an opportunity to heal those wounds might be good.written and signed by a big-wig shrink would even be better!
Sounds while being tickled would be a big part of the experience.
anything from crickets to led zepplin
good luck Nico

Nice idea.

I was that kid but grew up to love it as a sensual experience. Though my lovers still have to be cautious my touch is such that I do jump willingly over the edge!

I've suffered that abuse. Truly. I don't even know if I could handle that therapy! Alas, I'm not going this year.

When I did go (Beyond Belief) one day my intrepid adventures seemed or organize themselves around some rather profound sexual healing, again from childhood abuse.

Perhaps upholstery tassels, fringe, etc. Have fun!
