The first Sunday of every month is Car-Free Day. Please walk, bike or take public transit if possible and tell others what you are doing and why. If you must drive, please plan trips carefully, car-pool and pick another day to be car-lite.
New Year’s resolutions: Driving less and carpooling more are good-for-the-earth resolutions that compliment other pledges - like getting more exercise and being more social. Consider writing little reminders in your calendar; in February and March it will really help keep you on track.
2006 Plans: Car-Lite is gearing up for a quite active 2006 and we invite you to join us in promoting simple practices with big impacts. Would you like to help us with inventory, sew some curtains, organize a zero emission parade contingent or give a talk at The Community Bikes Shop? Please give us a call at 579-5811.
