This is a non-commercial area so I will leave out any product names. I am more looking for understanding than anything else.

Frankly, I don't believe Al Gore and his team are entirely correct. That doesn't matter, why, because regardless of what Al Gore has to say, I am taking action to reduce my carbon footprint. I do it not because of Al Gore, I do it because it is the right thing to do. I recycle almost all my waste, from packaging to vegetable and yard waste. And, I'm much more conservative than most people.

Here is what I don't get. We have at our disposal (no pun intended) a product that we can add to the fuel that propels our vehicles down the road, a product that will reduce the pollution generated by those fuels. This product is made from bio-renewable sources and is biodegradable. Furthermore, the product reduces fuel consumption, it can save up to 80 cents per gallon more than paying for itself. YET People don't buy it.

I don't get it. You can do something good for the planet which is good for you and the future and you can save money. Why aren't you doing it?

There are 1200 more views of an auto mechanics site than one that will help the planet. I just don't get it.

Bioneers - A great concept with a noble cause - yet you go there it appears to me to be seen and buy books and t-shirts that bash the govenment or complain about pollution or maybe buy a t-shirt that says - I went to Bioneers! I don't get it.

There was a product for sale at Bioneers in 2003, in fact the only product you could purchase at the event and on your way home be doing something good for the planet, you walk by the booth or some of you stop to learn more and leave. One such noble person stopped by, asked a lot of questions and left saying, gee, I hope eveyone buys some of that, without buying some for herself. I just don't get it.

Do you people just want to complain and not take any responsibility or make any effort? We don't need the government to take care of us, if we just take action on our own. I don't get it.

I hear how we Americans are all bad - we are doing terrible things around the world and deserve the bad press. If we are blaming ourselves for our contribution to Global Warming, then why not take some action as individuals? I don't get it.

Buying a Hybrid auto. Let's see. What happens with the trade-in. It gets sold to someone else. the energy consumed to build that hybrid, how much went into that, what is the net benefit? The batteries, what resources do they represent and what happens to them when they are done? How long will it take driving a Hybrid for you to realize the net savings, now that is purely a financial issue for you the individual but worth considering.

Remember the car you traded-in is still on the road. You could have just bought a product that would significantly reduced the pollution, saved you on fuel expenses and your money could have been used for investing in you or your childs future or another good cause.

I don't get it.

... I don't get it.

That's the one statement in that post that made sense to me.

I dont know about the product you are describing. I dont know what it is, how it works, or what kind of testing has been put in to it.

I sometimes get spam emails telling me about miraculous products that can help me save on gas. They are spam and get deleted. Except one time I started to click in to one and saw that it was a mlm, and of course the product was touted as huge gas saver, environmental saver etc.

Why didnt I look closer at it? I didnt believe the claims. I figured this is just another scam.

If someone can show me a product taht really does it - and show me so my natural scepticism is overcome then I would buy it.

I would need to be convinced though, and that wont be easy!

Watch out for those gas saving products. I tried one and tested it. At the time I had a 6-cylinder car and figured any savings would at least pay for the product, which cost me around $10 to treat a tankful. I don't know if it was an intentional scam, but it made absolutely no difference in gas mileage. Look carefully for test data, particularly by objective third parties, before buying stuff like that.
