I'm curious what the denizens of this forum are listening to these days. For me, I've been keeping my current listening music on my Ipod, and plugging it into the home or car stereo, or when no stereo system's available, listening via earbuds.

On the Ipod:

Al DiMeola
Chris Whitley (2 albums)
Collective Soul (3 albums)
Creed (3 albums)
Dixie Dregs
Dream Theater
Dwight Yoakam
The Fabulous Thunderbirds
Foo fighters (3 albums)
Graham Parker
Jackson Browne
Jakob Dylan
Jason & the Scorchers (2 albums)
Jeff Beck (2 albums)
Jimi Hendrix
Joe Satriani
John Hiatt
John Mayall
John Mayer
John Scofield
Mick Taylor
Paul Gilbert
Scott Henderson
Shel Silverstein
Tom Cochrane
Tribal Tech
Velvet Revolver
Walter Trout
Weezer

I'm trying to listen via the earbuds less & less, 'cause I think it may be damaging my eardrums, when I listen LOUD, which is my norm.

What are you listening to?

Not on an IPOD, but listening to:

* Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen;" the London/Decca "Golden Ring," recorded from 1958 -1966, with Solti and the VPO, Nilsson, Windgassen, Hotter, et. al. Haven't heard it in about 10 years and am playing it on my classical show beginning this Wednesday evening over KSVY, 91.3FM Sonoma (www.ksvy.org (https://www.ksvy.org)). It was my first Ring Cycle (on LPs) and remains one of the best recorded Ring cycles.
* Martha Argerich and Friends: Live from the Lugano Festival - 2005, 2006, 2007 (EMI)
* Working my way through the Ultimate Jazz Archive, currently listening to Bessie Smith, Ma Rainey, Mississippi John Hurt, Tampa Red, Clarence Williams, Fletcher Henderson, Jabbo Smith's Rhythm Aces, The Rhythmakers, Sidney Bechet, Washboard Rhythm Kings, Mezz Mezzrow, Pee Wee Russell, Mugsy Spanier, Bud Freeman, Eddie Condon't Dixieland All Starts, George Wettling.

What a good idea! I like this thread for getting some ideas for new music.
I just got an ipod and I'm loving it but I'm already a little tired of what's on there. I mostly like to listen to it at home parked in its cradle. When I'm gardening I'm always accidentally yanking out my earbuds.
A preponderance of women singers and folk:

Kindred Spirits, a tribute to Johnny Cash, various artists
Jewel, Spirit
Sheryl Crow
Rosanne Cash, King's Record Shop
Tahitian Choir, Rapa Iti, wierd otherworldly but tropical/exotic music
Tish Hinojosa, The Best of
Linda Ronstadt/Emmy Lou Harris, The Western Wall
Emmy Lou Harris, Red Dirt Girl, I really like this album, it's kind of sad
Queen, Queen Rocks
Leo Kottke, 6 and 12 String Guitar
Queens of Fado, various artists
Soundtrack from Phenomenon, bad movie, good songs
Bonnie Raitt, Longing in their Hearts
Duets Prairie Home Companion, various
Tommy Emmanuel, Center Stage
The Doors
