Three Korean students entered the Imagine Cup 2008, sponsored by Microsoft, with a software program called Tree Talk.
It allows you to listen in on the electromagnetic communication in trees. The electromagnetic signature of healthy trees can be compared with patterns that differ, thereby identifying trees under stress or with a disease.
