Lots of good threads come and go on Wacco....many of the same topics come up again and are re-argued ad infinatum....

I wonder if there is enough stuff in the "archives" to warrant a "best of" category.....I think it would be fun!

I nominate Decterlove as official Waccobb.net archive spelunker, editor, and "best of" moderator.

-JeffI second the motion!

Actually we can all serve as "Best Of Moderator"!

There's a feature currently installed called "Ratings". When you are on the website viewing a thread, at the top-right of the thread there is link called "Rate Thread". Just click it and give it your rating. It takes 3 votes on a given thread before the rating will count.

So if you think a thread is great, give it 5 stars. If you think it's less than great, give it something less.

Threads within a category can be sorted by the thread rating by clicking on the "rating" link/column header in the blue bar on the top of the thread.

This system isn't perfect, but it's already implemented and works fine. I don't want to copy threads or posts to another category because it would cause duplication.

Have fun!

I tried to rate, that works, but it doesn't give a total tally
what am I missing?

There aren't many yet. I may have had a setting wrong. Try it again. There's a few in WaccoTalk, including one that might be of special interest to you.

The number of votes is not show at present.

Are you saying that I should click on the individual post from the category and then it will appear automatically? or do I have to click on the Rate Thread button and something will appear?
Still not clear

The rating is for the thread. So to find threads that are rated goto the category summary which lists all the threads and click on the rating column header in the blue bar.

To add in your rating, goto that thread so you see all the posts, click on the "rate thread" link in the gold bar at the top of thread.
