Join 9-year Breast Cancer Survivor Jill Lowry in the Fireside Room of the Community Church of Sebastopol (1000 Gravenstein Hwy) on Saturday mornings from 10am – 11:30am as she facilitates a multi dimensional support group for breast cancer survivors.

From the moment a woman (or man) receives the diagnosis of breast cancer, every aspect of their lives change. Every step of this new life, from the earliest weeks after diagnosis to the following years, can present different and changing challenges.

This is a multi dimensional program, utilizing verbal processing, creative writing, visualization, art, meditation and/or prayer to support the group in expressing their thoughts and feelings that feel appropriate and safe for each group member to share. Topics of process could include fear, self image, pain, joy, humor, sexuality issues, gratitude, anger, relationships, life-changes, etc.

This group is open to anyone of any age whom has ever received a breast cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. Call Jill Lowry if you have any questions or would like to register. 829-7905

(Please note that the group will NOT meet on July 12th and 19th due to a scheduling conflict with the church).

Note: This group is not designed to counsel individuals on treatment choices or physician selection. This is a peer-led group and is not facilitated by a licensed psychologist. Due to the sensitive nature of this group, all members will be asked to sign a pledge of confidentiality. If you have any special comfort needs please let Jill know). There is no charge for this group and it is open to anyone in the community. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

What a great resource for people going through such a life changing ordeal. We will pass this information along to all our breast cancer clients who are either just starting the treatment process or have just finished.

Here at the Thermography Center of Sonoma County we help clients find peace-of-mind by being able to scan the cancer site and track the activity levels in the area. They are able to see if the cancer is reponding to their current treatments and dying off or if it has been awhile and they are in reemission we can make sure that nothing is kicking up and starting to grow again.

Thanks for creating this group, it is really needed!

If people want to see before and after cancer treatment picturs of our clients please visit our website at www.thermography-sc.com (https://www.thermography-sc.com).
