Lately, meaning this week, the full length of my right arm has been going numb! Meaning tingly and a "zap" like feeling.

Is this serious? Should I be doing some serious investigating? It doesn't hurt and is an occasional thing. Off and On.

If you know about this and would like to comment please do so; I invite you.

I look forward to your reply.

You may have a pinched nerve in your neck or upper back. I had a problem with my left ankle feeling like bugs were crawing on it. Eventually the problem worsened and it became very painful as a nerve was being pinched in my lower back.

Businesses are becoming more aware of the importance of ergonomics as stress injuries result in a lot of worker's comp claims. Do you do any work that uses your arm in a way that could be stressing it?

Lately, meaning this week, the full length of my right arm has been going numb! ...

Is it possible you are sleeping in an unusual position because of the heat? Laying in your arm? Sitting in a chair you don't usually sit in? ... with your arm on an arm rest you don't usually use?

I had this problem for a while with my left arm. I started driving a new car and I was resting my arm on the armrest that pressed against my ulnar nerve (by the elbow ... the "funny bone"). Then I heard Dr. Dean Edel discuss the exact issue on the radio and I stopped putting my arm against it. No more arm going to sleep.

Check out what you are resting your elbows on during the day or at night when you sleep.
