I figure if the answer's out there at all it'll come from within Waccovia. I managed to let a plastic mixing spoon drop through the rack of my dishwasher. During the "dry" part of the cycle I was sure there was some horrible fire in the neighborhood....awful chemical fumes.
But nooooooo, it was my own sweet machine, cranking out this godawful miasma.
I wonder many things.
1. How do I get the melted plastic off the heating ring?
2. Are the washed dishes likely to be contaminated?
3. How much damage did I do to my--and the cat's--lungs?
