If you can, be sure to go to the farmers market in ARLES in Provence. It's one of the best. I also bought table cloths, napkins, etc in Nice in the old market area for 1/4 what I'd pay here. You can find them at the Arles market, too.
Watch your $$ in Italy, especially change given back when you purchase something. That was the only place in Europe I had any trouble with money issues. I took a night train back to Paris from Nice, and the train car attendant tried to get additional $$ out of me after I had boarded, so be careful if you get a sleeping compartment in Italy. It was a scam.
I bought other beautiful linens in Pisa at great prices - you can't even get them here. Sorry, I can't forward names of anyone to visit while there because my friends are in the Toulouse area, but have a great time anyway! Wish I was going with you!!! If you wish to talk France travel (tips, etc) feel free to contact me and we can chat. I subscribe to FRANCE magazine, and have visited 5 times so far. If you'd like to look through the magazines, let me know! They have a ton of great information.
Bon Voyage!

Hi , I am wondering if anybody in our community might have friends/contacts in Provence, France or Northern Italy. Just wanting to connect with like minded Americans for a bit of support team! I will gladly accept travel tips and contacts of where to stay also. Venice is my main Italian city to visit.
I appreciate contacts in our traveling wacco family!
