Loosely defined, the word "philosophy" means the love of knowledge.
In opposition to this adoration crouched 35 Russian men, women and children deep underground in a bunker awaiting the end of the world. Shutting their ears down so as not to hear persuasive negotiations from authorities, they endured months of agony for the sake of remaining faithful to virtues espoused by one lone preacher. They finally began emerging recently after the rank stench of two women who died began choking them; after a failed suicide attempt by that preacher; after underground springs began flooding the bunker.
The end of knowledge: that point at which one decides one has reached absolute truth and there is nothing left to learn.
