As we look over the ballots, a lot of emphasis is placed on the statewide propositions and national candidates; we sometimes wonder if our votes count at all. If we truly desire to make a difference, we need to start at home, with our local elections. What we dream for Sonoma County has far reaching consequences. This area is not only our home, it is a world class tourist destination. The decisions that we make here affect the face of our nation and our planet. Our County Supervisor must demonstrate our commitment to a sustainable future with her actions as well as her words.

I have encountered Veronica Jacobi at several community planning and environmental awareness events over the past few years. In each instance, she has been working, teaching and helping our community in tangible ways. Veronica is not the only person running for Sonoma County Supervisor but she is the only one I have actually seen show up to work on various causes and not just to talk about them. When Veronica does talk, she knows what she is talking about and when she works, she gets results. She clearly demonstrates her commitment to a future of peaceful coexistence and climate recovery in Sonoma County.

Change begins at home with local elections. Sonoma County is our home. Please be sure to vote for the person who will work to create a loving and sustainable home for us all. I believe the best Supervisor for Sonoma County is Veronica Jacobi.

Blessings,
AnnaLisa Wiley

Yes,

I agree with AnnaLisa. Veronica Jacobi is authentic, does her homework and is not afraid to ask important questions.

She walks her talk; you can trust her to serve the community's best interest in a balanced manner.

If you are in her district; you can vote for Veronica with the confidence that she will listen, and represent you well.

In her district or not, any support you can give to her campaign will help Sonoma County as a whole to gain a sensible majority for the Board of Supervisors.

Will Pier is my recommendation for the 1st District.

Best wishes,

Colleen

Veronica is indeed authentic and her heart is in the right place. However, she is basically a one-trick pony (environment, environment, environment) who lacks the well-roundedness and general gravitas that one would expect of the individual in such an important public office.

Fortunately there is a better candidate for the 3rd District County Supervisor job: Shirlee Zane. She has solid business experience as a CEO and a career in human services. I think she would bring sensitivity and sensibility to an elected position that has sorely lacked both under the superannuated regime of Tim Smith.

Sonoma County Conservation Action endorses both Shirlee Zane and Will Pier for the 1st District seat. If Rue Furch wins the 5th District seat, this would be a solid progressive majority on the Board of Supervisors to take us in the right direction for the 21st century.

Being committed to a particular issue does not make one a "one trick pony." Veronica has considerable experience in the public arena and is endorsed by the Sonoma County's Democratic Party, Women's Political Caucus and the Green Party to name a few. She is a professional engineer which entails a great deal more than just a college degree.

Personally, I have never met Shirlee Zane. She does not appear to be interested in what I consider most important. Also, I am uncomfortable with anyone whose claim to fame is being a CEO or involvement in "human services" (a nebulous term at best.) I'm looking for a natural leader who shares my values, not just someone who is good at running things.
I hope that each of us gets out there and votes for what we believe in!
Blessings, AnnaLisa
