Yes, it does appear that children all over the world are painfully being trained to hate. What are we going to do to stop this spread of terrorism non violently? Back at you:

Wow. Ugly is that, no matter where, eh? Minor issue is that the two above spots covered the same issue with the same footage and folks. Also it is not promulgated on TV, as with the Muslim spot. So the audience is far, far smaller.
I was in a church a while back. The church claims it is evangelical, and their kids did none of that stuff, as in the above. I had to laugh because with me was a man considering becoming a Muslim, and I mentioned to him that while this school (we were watching a Sunday School Bible Class) was teaching "love your enemy", I could well imagine a Madrassa in Pakistan teaching another message.
Out of the 28% Evangelicals identified in the above, we both know that not all of them are doing what that small sect is doing, while those in the Middle East are reaching a total audience with their TV media and promulgating hatred on a massive scale with constant reinforcement.
And what am I doing?
One day at a time. What do you expect to get done?

Hi Lenny,

Actually this Jesus Camp was a full length documentary that was out in the theaters and has been put on TV as well. Here are two clips showing it on mane stream media. Of course, not ALL evangelicals are like this, and neither are all Muslims teaching what was shown in your video. Yes, your right, all we can do is take one day at a time, and I think "tolerance" is the key....should be what's taught. Regarding all the TV that extremist Muslims are watching...from what I understand they can't be seeing too much because mostly they feel that TV is a western evil (this is the extremists that feel this way...not every Muslim). Unlike in America, TV is the legal drug the government's got us on to keep us quiet and on the couch (not protesting in the streets). So, we've got TONS of junk to keep us occupied by the TV. Well, anyway, here are two examples of clips about Jesus camp that had interview coverage on TV.

Thanks, Sabrina. I need to get out more to see what the media is putting to us. And yes, our gov't is SO involved, it is sickening. For example I was told that all taxpayers are subsidizing set top boxes for analog TVs that one may purchase in the community. I can't get over that. I read the gov't is taking a bandwidth that TV is on and in February all TVs that aren't "hooked up" have to have this box, or receive nothing. I can almost understand that, but why should the gov't have to subsidize folks to get the box for conversion? So they can pump more crap into our heads? More fear, hysteria, lies, and half truths? As a younger man I shot over six TVs and smashed several others. The first one was while watching the 1968 Repubican convention. You know, one needs care, as those suckers implode before they explode when they're on!
As for Middle Easterns and their TVs, I can't quite agree. If you know about Free To Air TV and have looked at the material out there, one of the more popular photos is of the numerous satellite receivers once sees over there. I can agree that OUR Western TV is mostly evil, so they don't watch ours. But they certainly are watching something, and as many can testify, TV can be used as a baby sitter. I think we will come to face the fact that there are a bunch of folks over there, and a few here, that wish "to get it on".
It just may be our nature. History seems to support that notion. Even though most actions are worth less than :2cents:

Hi Lenny,

It's funny what you said about bashing all the TV's. When I was a kid my parents got a TV for the family (in those days, the 1960's, there were only about 7 channels), and my parents quickly saw what a drug it was for the kids and soon the whole family was fighting over who wanted to watch what. One night when I was complaining that I wanted to see something like I love Lucy, and my Mom wanted to watch a boring old lady talking, she got up and angrily kicked the TV hard, and it stopped working for good! We didn't have a family TV till we were Teenagers after that, and i begged to go to friends houses that had one! Then with my own kids, we kept TV out of the house till just a few years ago when our kids became Teens. As for the rest of your last post, I have to ask what you mean by some things so that we don't get into the kind of confused and irrational misunderstanding that often happens when people don't understand one's posts. First, the TV box conversion thing...that's new to me, and I really don't know anything about that. One day I'll have to check out what that's all about. About the Government pumping junk into our brains, I couldn't agree more that there is a large amount of attempted brain washing going on with TV, by the Government, and this is exactly why I would love to fight hard to restore our original constitution and democratic freedoms / rights so that WE THE PEOPLE again can feel comfortable that WE ARE the Government.

I guess I just didn't understand what you meant by this statement and you could clarify what you mean by "get it on" and what and who a bunch of folks over there are and a few folks over here are, and what is our nature, and the history that supports what notion part. Here's your statement that I didn't understand: "I think we will come to face the fact that there are a bunch of folks over there, and a few here, that wish "to get it on".
It just may be our nature. History seems to support that notion. Even though most actions are worth less than :2cents:"

As parents we had rabbit ears on our TV and brought in 22 & 50. We figured that's all our kids needed and it worked.
As for gov't supported boxes. In February, 2009, if you have the set up as I listed above (rabbit ears) your TV won't work anymore. To make it work you will have to buy ($60 is the cheapest) what is called many names, like analog-to-digital set top box, and then you will be able to "get" TV. After you pay the money, send in the coupon, and you will get a $40 rebate back. This $40 is from the US taxpayers via Congress. I don't know why, except Congress may have to much time on it's hands and loves to spend We The People's-money.
As for "getting it on", that is a euphemism for war. Some folks here, and "over there" (pick several spots world wide) are behaving in a bellicose fashion, both by word and deed. In spite of THIS BBS's notion of several subscribers, this condition is not solely via our own US actions. Sorry for being so full of it that I get in my own way. Broken down, it's not worth :2cents:
