Reading the Sebastopol Municipal code is great fun!

I'm not sure it is a good idea to pick through the laws in order to discredit the lifestyle of your political opponents (in part because then they can do the same to you :-/ But I was amused to find that Chapter 5.12 'Prohibiting the practice of fortune telling and other similar occupations.'

It pretty much covers the lot, prohibiting prophecy, crystal gazing, and cards...

This would appear to cover the tarot readings in front of Infusions.

Rich! You PIA!

I can tell you your fortune from here!

So what does the statute say?

Does the law allow for "consulting?" If so, then all bets are off.

My crystal ball tells me many of the past and present Council members have consulted for pay at one time or another.

Some consultants use tarot cards for inspiration.

Right. Wonder also what the implications are for those fundamentalist and born-twice Christians who advocate that the Holy Script has Scripture for the Future, including, but not restricted to, Global Warming.

See though what it says about telecommunication facilities. Means the wi-fi plan would create a series of ugly towers all over the town!!
