I think in todayz world most people can’t appear to see past their own nose. Maybe I am wrong but… This is bothersome to me for way many obvious reasons. Well to me anyway. For all I know you may be reading this vent and asking yourself why Mizz Terry has a driveway and you don’t!

This really does stem from just watching and trying to really realize and understand my own surroundings. People are way more selfish than they give themselves credit for! What am I talking about you may ask? Well here are just a few small examples I have locked in my soul to try and calculate and analyze to no prevail.

We sell a densified fuel product to help keep people warm. We sell on the average about 3000 tons a year, which is a lot for a small operation. Once In a while we run a tad bit short and have to limit people that pick up a few lesser logs, so that everyone may get the opportunity to stay warm, till we may get a little more brought in and catch up. We have a warehouse in Santa Rosa that we need to go over and bring a few more pallets over to our yard sales location.

OK so you say you are a peace loving caring hippie chick? You have all the right bumper stickers all over you car stating this. PEACE, LOVE, BRING OUR TROOPS HOME, NO MORE BUSH, all the usual bumper sticker you would have on a typical Sebastopol loving caring environmentally HY-BRED TOYOTA you could possibly have! Now why in the hell can’t you understand that I am trying to keep everyone warm for the evening and I only have twenty logs for you today? Can you see I only have about fifty left and there really are people waiting right behind you? You can see the people looking and waiting can’t you? Why are you telling me that twenty is not enough and that you should get all of the logs I have and those people really are not there trying to keep their families warm while you live in a huge house by yourself and will just go home and heat you dogs while you are out shopping or gaddabouting around the countryside? Thanks for trying soooo hard to justify you own needs and to just piss on everyone else around you! I know you care about something, atleast this is what you are trying to project on our society yes? You see this sooooo often in the world today it really makes one wonder. Our own Government is no better. Not only to other countries but it gets worst on the local levels that I really do not think anyone is aware of. I can see past my own nose! I do see things that no one else can see. While everyone around me is trying to save the world, I myself am just trying to save myself! Shallow you might say? Well just read what I have to say and then you may decide!

I grew up on the streets, I know my way around town. I have done drugs in my life and I have seen the true damage to our society this causes. I would never attempt to even say drugs are good in any way. They are not! My motto is if you want to do drugs, go ahead, just stay the hell away from me!

Now again I have a second business to attend to on a daily basis and love my little junk store. It gives me meaning in life and a chance to help our community. I have way to much fun and people tend to notice I am probably too happy in life.

I live in a drug infested area on the other side of the tracks but I do not let this bother me, the activities in the last few years have not been soo bad, allot of the major players are locked up now and you can tell.

Yet tell this to the feds! There are certain local government and national polices that just want to put you away! They know for a fact that I would never do drugs, cause of course they watch everyone In the area and I am no different. But to send in someone new and have them tell me they hate drugs as much as I do, but “hey where can we get our hands on some illegal weapons” is just beyond reason. Now I can understand that you want to make sure all your bases are covered. But when you come into my store and stay for a few weeks and give me a vibe that is hard to shake is just plain wrong. You are tarnishing my image just to try and get your foot into a community! Again they can’t see past their own noses. They are as bad as the drug dealers in the sense that they really do not care whom they hurt as long as they get what they are after. I have to tell my friends that ask what is going on, who the hell is this? Oh he/she will be on his way soon enough just stay away from him/her. It’s as plain as day to me what is going down, do not use me to get a foot hold in my community, cause I know dam well you won’t even blink when my establishment gets burnt to the ground cause you picked me to try and get a closer look see at what is going down! I am not that guy! I actually give a rat’s asss and am trying to make a living! Our government at work!

I love the community that has more self-help programs than any other palace on earth! For a community that does nothing but contemplate the rest of the worlds resources and environmental concerns, not one of us would conceder going a day without heat or a car. WE have more massage therapists and pretty much every self-help entity anyone has ever thought of right her in our own little wonder. Why do we need all this self-pity? For a community that has nothing but the world in mind we spend all are time pampering ourselves and this is way beyond what you would expect from a community that has nothing but good nature in mind for the rest of the world.

The self-righteous individualism expressions are running rapid in our community. You are better than me and you can prove it! Because you are better you have the right not to care on an individual level. You can talk about saving the world with the best of them, you can recycle your cans and eat your vegetables and drive you hy-breds all you want but can you see past what is going on in our local environment.

Most that I run into on a daily basis cannot see past the local scenery. Some may be able to watch a bird fly by and a squirrel that lives in a tree In the backyard. Maybe the dog that barks too much, or the cat that lives next door. You can talk to the person at the grocery store that is taking your money but this the extent of your day. You know what is going on in the rest of the world more than your own community. All brought to you by NBC or CBS or the al mighty FOX! This is called shallow! I really feel this community is better than this and needs to evolve before it can assume responsibility for the rest of the world. I believe we have more hang-ups than pretty much anywhere on the planet. Be it sex or our own beliefs and spiritual paths. You know the ones that are far better than anyone else’s beliefs? Our spirituality paths have made us all sooo friggin shallow we can not see past our own noses, we are better than the rest of the world and we are letting our own government walk all over us cause we are so busy being trying to project ourselves are being self righteous and learning how to whine, we forgot the main goal in life. Helping others and accepting our own true dimensions is a start that needs to be accomplished! PEACE and just the daily vent from yours truly!

The point about "the truth hurts" goes right along with this. It's not so much that it hurts, it's just that you feel a lot more than you would if you're only concerned about yourself and your immediate surroundings - and people tend to shy away from that. After all, it involves opening yourself up to the suffering of others rather than just sustaining a pleasant state for yourself.


But of course, the way a lot of people "work together" is based on who has the biggest ego, essentially. You have to "respect my authoritay" (to quote Cartman from South Park) even if it amounts to little more than having a fit if the person doesn't get their way. Even when people are doing good work, it becomes hindered by this kind of childish attitude - and of course they cannot see that in themselves. Even when it's done in a passive-aggressive way and there are other people who play along, a tremendous amount of energy that could otherwise be spent on actual work is wasted on sustaining some pecking order that satisfies a fundamental insecurity.

Compassion isn't a feel good thing, but it does open you up to feeling a lot more, a lot more than the ego identified with pleasure would want to feel. But there's an intelligence that goes along with being open that comes from being really engaged, whereas the authoritarian attitude of "I know better than you and let me tell you how it is" is out of touch with others and therefore is actually based on ignorance.

Frustrated today?

I have to say I have seen those cars filled with all sorts of bumper stickers "peacing" out. And usually I let them in front of me for my own sanity and safety. Many are smoking hand out the window and often kids in the car (despite the clean air sticker), then comes the flick (save the earth - respect mother earth stickers in green so we feel good about their view), some were driving cars that should be retired (despite the clean air sticker), love it when they cut people off (despite the peace, hug and "random acts of kindness" stickers) and then look surprised when you are frowning as they weave into the bike lane (yes of course a "share the road sticker" is attached).

I am into marketing and I am definitely a proponent of image is important but darn it back that image with intelligence and action PLEASE!!!! Don't just talk the talk but walk the talk!

And be willing to be last and listen first!

People are frustrating hell we frustrate ourselves let alone what we do to others.

Well to be honest or more precise, they really are not vents, more along the lines of social study observations. I do kinda emphasize the daily vent thingy to get out a few small yet fruitful views of my own. I love to study individualities and compare everyone and their own true beings. The one most common wealth we all share is our own true self. For we each believe we are alone and take full president toward guarding our own true nature and ego. We are the most important individual on this planet and come first! There is only second place. I myself feel if we only new the truth of the nature we could get to understand we are all just one and forget about being true individuals. I believe we are a collective and we are alwayz growing together as one orgasm. Truly challenging tasks alwayz take more than I mind to even conceder doing alone. This in itself should be a small piece of proof that we are all just one.

It’s hard to imagine life alone, for most people getting out of bed In the morning would have no purpose unless someone or something was waiting for us. As our world becomes ever smaller, (more people and fewer resources) we will all need to look at the larger perspective. Make sacrifices so everyone can be warm, or so everyone can have clean drinking water and food!! Medicine too. When I sense someone agitated regardless of what I might be trying to provide or help them with, the main thing I think of is the OM you know I meditate to their tunnel vision right there!!
