I have a Razr V3xx cell phone and I am looking for specific directions on how to get photos off my phone onto my iMac using USB cord (like you do with a digital camera). I think I need software though? I don't want to do it by accessing the internet or by using a memory chip, if at all possible.
Thank you, thank you. Love2travel

I see. Those kinds of pictures. Well, perhaps these discussions will help.

this one seems to be about bluetooth only:

For now try to make this happen without adding any new System files to your iMac. That can get pretty complicated.
Good luck. If none of this helps let us know and we can dig a little deeper.

PS. Include whether you have bluetooth capability on the iMac and what version of the System software you're using.

Yes you need software. Though if you have not ever attached your phone to the MAC the first time it often sees it as a storage device. If so an easy grab for you.
Your Razr should have a memory chip in it though so you could just use the same little card reader that downloads from your camera. Though my Razr's chip is a micro so I have a thing it fits into so it matches my reader/camera. Seems to work pretty good.
I also can just email them to myself. These are really small photos though so if you want to use them for anything they pretty much need to be printed (wallet size usually is the best pic) and scanned.
