Hi Ellen,
I see that this is a very old message. Did you ever set anything up? I have a couple of friends who would like to play, but none of us know how. My mom has tried (unsuccessfully) to teach me. We're all in Sebastopol. Tuesday or Weds. evenings are good. We can rope in another person or two if need be. If you're still looking and aren't put off by a bunch of newbies, I'd love to hear from you.
I should perhaps also mention that we are just as interested in socializing, eating and drinking as we are in playing Mah Jongg. In other words, we are not exactly what you'd call fierce competitors.:):
