1. The Scorpio Full Moon
The first of two Scorpio Full Moons (2nd on May 19th)

This full moon holds a space of transforming our culture into the new paradigm. As we have already seen with the recession that we have been operating under for some time is now being felt and acknowledged by all. The transition from patriarchy to partnership culture is not an easy one.
Utilizing the parameters of astrology we may craft our way through these uncertain times to a new artistic re-creation of our lives. Here I am specifically referring to the time between the Full Moons, namely 4-20 to 5-19 as sandwich of magic if we work to shape our destiny.
This full moon is followed by a Taurus (5-5) New Moon. That new moon is about artistic love and money. Most astrologers don't associate love with money because of various stigmas. When we look at our lives as a work of art where we are the artists co-creating ourselves with Spirit then love and money (energy) are inexorably bound.
There are three steps -
A). The beginning step with this full moon on 4-20 allows us to see the transformation forces at work and how to go with it. This force is both personal and global (more on this below).
B). The middle step (5-5 the New Moon in Taurus) is a new beginning grounded in a reality based on the resources of Earth as a limited or finite game. Up until this time we have been playing our personal and national economies as if we have been in an infinite game with Earth as a thing to be used and exploited. The Earth is not unlimited resource for our use. Once we accept the new ground rules of Earth as a finite limit then we can operate within those limits in an infinitely creative and co-creative manner. C). The final part of this magical sandwich is one of karma on the full moon May 19 - 20th. Karma is not bad. It is an exchange of energy or accounts payable and receivable. Since we have been taking from Earth we must pay back. That's only one example. By looking at your chart I can tell you whether you are reaping karma or working to pay it back. I cannot readily tell (without a full chart reading) whether the karma you are reaping or sowing is bad or good. It doesn't matter whether you are working with good karma or receiving bad karma owed to you (or vice versa). When you work with your karma and shadow parts from a place of love then release can happen with compassion. One does not release karma by making war but making love and peace. The war on drugs or the war on terrorism only furthers the war and does not seek to resolve the problem. Real solutions are about applying love and creative problem solving in surrender to the Divine as it flows through us for the release of karma. When we surrender and release during this time period (4-20 to 5-20) an opportunity is created to bring the new paradigm into focus and make our lives better. If we look to what was happening from April 21st to May 20th 1989 we could get a snapshot of a similar transformation having to do with our dreams and visions taking on the new reality of the Internet and webs of new connectiveness. What were you doing then?
The number one theme of this full moon is hard work through the power of alchemical transformation, which may reap rewards although they may not be visible at this juncture. Look to the efforts being made between now and May 5th, and between May 5th and May 19-20th and in the next month to follow for results to be manifest.
The dreams and visions we may have had in 1989 have reached a time of integration. Look to where you were then and notice what progress you've made. Now is the time to take the visions you had then and look into the passions of your emotions/heart and ask "How can I balance the work with the will of the changing tides of universal forces?"
If your life and work isn't moving where you wish it to then inner actions are required for you to be aligned with the changes.
Transformation magic happens we surrender the illusion of control and let our lives run on a more exciting edge. Surrender to the forces that come from the Divine. If you're not hearing the Divine within you begin to cultivate a space to perceive Spirit and prepare to leap. You may need help opening or cultivating a space.
This time is definitely a reality check. It's hard work moving from the small circle of friends to greater and greater circles aka community and finally culture at large.
