If anyone in Waccobb land knows the answer to a simple question. After an individual is "let go" from a job what is the law concerning cutting the final paycheck. A friend has been waiting for over a week and I think the answer is 48 hours, but am not sure.

https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/FAQ_Paydays.htm

"An employee who is discharged must be paid all of his or her wages, including accrued vacation, immediately at the time of termination. Labor Code Sections 201 and 227.3 (https://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/displaycode?section=lab&group=00001-01000&file=200-243)"

I also recall that if you do not receive pay in a timely manner it doubles or somesuch, so it is something that can be pursued.

It is actually required at time of termination- the employee now is owed for all the time between when they were let go and the day the check arrives. The labor board loves such cases and will help! Just call them!
