Ugly old turd is right. But he is speaking as a grunt, and like the rest of us, still pissed off about our war. We didn't like to spat on liberals, nor honored by our country leaders after putting it on the line.

As a grunt, he is right.
As a statesman he is wrong.
Don't ask. Take too long to explain. Get it or don't. :2cents:

I was intrigued by the Jesse Ventura post, but feel he is a bit of a blowhard and lightweight intellectually, e.i.- can only spew his lines, but can't think on his feet. He reconfirmed this opinion twice in the videos:
-He was going on about the $9 trillion deficit, and LK tried to ask him about the distinction between the Clinton surplus and the Bush deficit, and JV just blew right by it, not knowing how to respond.
-JV picked Obama as the favorite of the 3 candidates, but flatly said that Obama would not get us out of Iraq. No explanation. He proceeded to quote Ron Paul about "we marched in, we can march out". Where's the difference?

I did like JV's reference to Cheney and the other "chickenhawks", and his simple rule for going to war: "if you'd send your own son..."
