Hello Community,
I've been looking for a 12 Step meeting, with no luck so I'm thinking about starting one myself. I don't relate to the labels. Although at times I fit them all, I wouldn't call myself an Alcoholic, a drug addict, sex addict, Co-dependent, overeater, etc. I'm livin in the USA and it's a pretty dysfunctional mess. The 12 steps work for me and I'm ready to have a weekly meeting to keep me grounded and connect with others experience, strength and hope.
Is anyone interested in a meeting like this? I'm out near Occidental, but I'm willing to come to Sebastopol and I'll find a location.
Please either respond to this email address, or give a call to 953-9380
Peace,
Susan

17 years into my own recovery from drug addiction, yours is the first time I've seen someone not addicted praise the 12 Steps for working for them! From the time I got sober I've realized that the Steps would help ANYONE who takes them. Good for you. I attend Celebrate Recovery on Friday nights which breaks into a bunch of small groups (women's healing, drug/alcohol addiction, men's integrity and more) being held at Santa Rosa Alliance Church right now (put on by Spring Hills Community Church, but they meet at SRAC while they build a new facility). 6:30pm is pizza time, the meeting starts at 7pm, opens with some rockin' edifying music and prayer, then breaks down into small groups. My wife loves the women's healing group (healing from LIFE! LOL), and I love the addiction recovery group. Just a thought you might want to explore. There is a Celebrate recovery on Monday nights at 7pm at Immanuel Baptist Church, as well.
I just thought I'd mention those pre-existing groups for you to find like minded people already gathering together.

Hello Susan,
The Center for Spiritual Living in Santa Rosa, which is on Occidental and Stony Point, has a 12 step meeting. It is not geared towards any particular "label" .......
