I just drove a car with an onboard GPS system, and I couldn't believe how much of a difference it makes navigating a car.
Does anyone have a recommendation or experience with an after market product that can be installed in an older car?
What should one look for or avoid?
Ease of installation?
Common problems?
Size?
Price?
Stores?

Thanks!

My son paid $200 for a Magellen. He lent it to me as I navigated San Jose (ugh) and you are right, it was amazing! He got his at CostCo. He did his homework and was going to get a Garmin, but he saw this deal and he couldn't pass it up due to the price. Out of the three, he says Tom-Tom is the easiest to understand. So when I get permission, and $250, SWMBO will probably want me get the Tom-Tom. Oh, and I have to be willing to travel, and give up the gardening and bees! Maybe I'll pass. :2cents:

The best Garmin at Costco is a great unit. It was on sale $100 off a couple of weeks ago, and might still be on sale at Costco.com
Good luck.
