My Jetta has been very sluggish. My mechanic told me that he had had two other cars in recently that also get biodiesel from the Chevron on Highway 12. When he couldn't find anything wrong with them, he took some of the fuel and chilled it. At 45 degrees, he told me, it turns to jello.
His suggestion: don't buy there until they solve the problem. Well, I still have their fuel in the tank, and it's running much better. So maybe the service, particularly a new fuel filter, was what it needed and it wasn't the fuel at all?
Any thoughts or experience to share on this? Thanks.
P.S. I've been through two fuel filters since I started using biodiesel, and I rarely use the other stuff, so I wouldn't think I had a huge buildup this time.
