We have scrap metal flashing from a roof tear down, plus other various metal parts, and I wonder if anyone knows if you can turn them in somewhere for recycling and/or cash. I hated to see it go into the dumpster, so I've taken it out and boxed it up. Hope there's a place for it somewhere. Any info will be appreciated. Thank you.

We took a really poorly built metal awning unit (Target: crap) to these folks. I think they gave us $30 or so.

Here are a few other options - call 'em and ask what they take, and what they pay/lb.

You might consider contacting Patrick Amiot, the Sebastopol Florence Street sculptor. He sometimes takes metal for his work...

It's called West Coast Metals, Inc. located at 470 Calettie Road in Windsor, just off of Shiloh Road, the next exit north on Hwy. 101 from Airport on the west side of 101 just after the overpass on your left. They will give you $ for aluminum cans, plastic & glass bottles, copper& brass but do not pay for corrugated or sheet metal although you can dispose of it there.
Here's a link for the Sonoma County Dept. of Health Services Environmental Health Division which shows a huge listing of where to take things of all sorts to legally dispose of them:
