What is wanted is not the will to believe, but the will to find out, which
is the exact opposite. -Bertrand Russell, philosopher, mathematician,
author, Nobel laureate (1872-1970)

I have to laugh because his mentor, Alfred North Whitehead became a Catholic, and believer!
But his notion of "facts" as reality is truly off base. When you go for a walk, do you walk 5,280 feet? No. Or when talking to a friend, do you talk for 3,860 seconds? No, you talk for a while, or a moment, and THAT is reality.
As a young man I sucked up Russell as a bee drinks nectar, but in this space of life, I puke him out.
Nice thought though. :2cents:

I'm with Bertrand Russell on this.

To believe a falsehood is without merit.
