Healing Center
Hi. I am Katherine.
I am a Shaman offering my skills in the relief of acute and chronic pain, traumas, and grief.
'Shaman' is a Tibetan word referring to traditional healers who are experienced working within the realms of existence, between the spiritual, the emotional, and the physical worlds. They, therefore, guide the client on their healing journey.
I teach clients how to feel their body sensations and access feelings and sound vibrations as effective means to release entrenched patterns of pain and disease from their bodies.
Recently I've worked with persons recovering from cancer, abortion, surgery, and sports related injuries. This work is applicable to anyone with pain settling into their body whether in bone, tissue, or organs.

'I stopped chemo drugs because of the severe side effects which left me in unbearable nerve pain. I was on morphine and hydrocodone around the clock for two months. The pain would break through in the night and keep me awake. Katherine gave me a session which relieved the pain enough so that I could sleep. With four more sessions I was off of the morphine. Her work helped me to leap forward in my healing process.'

I conduct sessions with clients in my peaceful home close to nature. My fee is $100/hour. If this is prohibitive, please speak to me directly so that we may explore ways to address these barriers. I begin my work with an intake form to gather information about the pain in your body.
I would be pleased to speak with you further about supporting you on your way to greater well being. If you have questions about whether this would be helpful for your body's condition, please call me at (707) 321-6488 for more information.

Blessings,

Katherine's Bio:
My father was ill when I was a child before I had language. This was my first experience of traveling between the worlds. For my formal education, I received a BA in Psychology from Duke University. Afterwards, I traveled to S.E. Asia and lived and studied with traditional healers in Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. I received a full scholarship at UC, Berkeley where I did graduate studies in cultural and medical anthropology. I attended medical school at the University of California San Francisco where I studied with Dr. Rachel Remen. I left before completing my MD to study shamanic healing in Peru. This spiritual journey lead me to work with Jonathan Goldman, the Master of Sacred Healing Sound, with the Foundation of Shamanic Studies, and with various healers in Hawaii, Arizona, British Colombia, Peru, and Europe. I became familiar with intuitive healing during the seven years that I had a private practice in massage therapy. In the last ten years my work has been most noticeably affected by the practice of Re-evaluation counseling which I consider to be the most knowledgeable source in the world on emotional healing. Other modalities that I have studied include medical intuition, herbalism, cranio-sacral therapy, meditation, and energy medicine. I have been greatly influenced by the spiritual practices of the Native American sweat lodge, by the trance rituals of Bali, by the Science of Mind Church, and the ecstatic states practiced by the Pentecostals.
