For similar dancing to Irish social dances, try English Country dances (there's one today at 2pm in Sebastopol), Contra dances (today at 6:30 pm in Petaluma) - go to www.nbcds.org, or call (707) 527-9794 for more info. There is Scottish Country dancing at Monroe Hall in SR on Wednesdays, go to www.monroehall.org.
I'm not sure if there are Irish performance dance classes (stepdancing) in the North Bay.
You also might try Murphy's Irish Pub...they might know of someone you could ask.
