Hello to all animal lovers and RETIRED PERSONS with spare time
The North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement Organization is very much in need of Experienced Computer Users, and Foster Care Families for the canines. Please see their web site at https://www.northbay-canine.org/
They very much need EXPERIENCED people who have at least 5 or more hours weekly to give them. They have been experiencing loss of volunteers due to illness and lack of their time to help. HERE ARE SOME WAYS you can help them DIRECT FROM YOUR OWN HOME. No traveling involved. All phone expenses INVOLVED in making the calls will be reimbursed by NBCRP.
1. MAKING and Receiving Phone Calls: This can be very time consuming even though it does not seem that way at first. Involves keeping records.
2. Assisting with their web page;
3. Posting on various sites such as this one about available dogs up for adoption, and for foster homes for other dogs. The more foster homes we can find, the more dogs can be saved from euthanizing and/or long stays in shelters. This gives the foster people time to socialize the dogs and get to know their personalities which helps in finding proper good fit forever homes.
4. Following up on adoptions; phone calls, foster care and other inquiries.
Experience and good knowledge of Internet and knowledge of canines, particularly the Herding Breed is really desirable.
I am very hopeful of finding Retired Persons who would like to be a part of a very good HERDING breed rescue. Even if you can only give 5 or so hours weekly, it will help a lot. However, the more you can give, the better.
