I just thought I'd pass along the word about some burglaries that happened on Thursday, 2/14/08, in Graton in the afternoon and in the night. One was at our home on Bowen Street. The intruders came into our house by way of the front door being left slightly ajar (we think). They went straight to our master bedroom, ransacked it and took off with all of my jewelry and a few other small items. We have filed a police report, of course.
We feel pretty powerless in the situation and really have very little hope of getting our things back but wanted to give our community a heads up.

Note;
I was working at the "Love your neighbor" thrift shop for a while
on Bowen st in Graton. there were some tweakers and ex tweakers that "volunteered" there, shortly after that ANYTHING that wasn't BOLTED down outside was robbed,wheelbarrrows, shovels ,300 dollar chippers,you name it
the police were completely ineffective. Green Valley Road is the tweaker dump. there is always crap being deposited all along the road,their moms couldn't do a thing with them, and neither can we. they were stealing mailboxes out that way for a while last year, wonder what use they have for mailboxes? Anyway Graton, Green Valley keep it buttoned up or it may disappear!. Nico

My mother lives right next door to the incredibly wonderful family that was robbed in Graton on Bowen St. I have had 2 cars stolen from that parking lot. One fom the "so called gang members " doing their initiation process". So the police confirmed . The other time was my Mercedes stolen actually from a member of the household that was robbed several days ago in Graton.. Go figure.. He was suppossed to fix my car and another that was there. They ( the cars ) both dissappeared. One was someone who went to Costa Rica and hoped I could sell it for him. I was of course put in a very bad situation . I went to court and did not win due to "lack of evidence". I just the other day told a Sheriff that we had had a robbery at the Bowen townhouses and even pointed out the neighbor who had been robbed , only to have the Sheriff drive away and acknowledge not one word I said. My mother is locking doors and we are securing our bicycles and what a shame ! To think we all could be safe in our own communities.. .. I guess no matter where you are ! Be careful and safe my freinds..
