West (a) County Community Online Bulletin Board.
The name (WaCCO - note the lower case "a") was created by one of our godmothers, Denise Meier. I added the BB when I took over as moderator of the original Yahoogroup, as an early attempt at categories.
I'll post more information about the genesis of the group at some point. But basically, it grew out of the community circle following a regular Sweat Your Prayers dance in Sebastopol in 2000. It was the closeness of the in-person connections the fueled the warmth of the list. I am seeking to to continue to nurture that warmth through our ongoing in-person events.
