KOWS lp (low power) 107.3 West County Community Radio, Occidental, is on the air! Our programming is continually expanding, and we hope you will tune in and take advantage of the eclectic offerings of musical genres and talk shows (from politics to health issues to spiritual exploration). Join us if you can receive the low power signal broadcasting from downtown Occidental. Contact us at the station at (707) 874-1073 with suggestions and/or comments.

The following is the current line up of live programming, interspersed with preprogrammed music chosen by the staff. Tune in and support West County Community Radio KOWS 107.3!


Monday:

5:30–6 pm: Terra Nova: Nova Luna (talk on sustainability & environment)

7–9 pm: Kerry Beck (music)

9-11 pm: Lawrence Alberti- Bohemian Highway (music)

Tuesday:

10-11 am: Dan Craig-Morse, Magnum Mysterium: Celebration of the Great Mystery through Music and Word. 1st & 3rd weeks.

11 am-1pm: Patrick Parnell: From Bebop to Boogie and Beyond- Jazz, Blues, Afro-Cuban, Funk, or whatever the mood inspires.

1-3 pm: Christine Lowry; The Alchemy Lab- From Punk to Ambient & Poetry too

7-8 pm: John Starkey: Voices and Vision— Politics, Culture, Criticism,
Conversation, and Music. 2nd & 4th weeks.

8-10 pm: Greg Scherick & Teresa Tudury (music)

Wednesday:

9-10 am: Mary Sheila Smith: (Talk- nutrition, health, local issues)

10-11 am: Mary Sheila Smith (music)

8-10 pm: Mark Growden, Universal Tongue (music)

Thursday:

9-10 am: Anne Hill; Dream Talk Radio- Exploring the World of Dreams

4-5 pm: Linda Weber-Mills: Sonoma Homegrown-Music from the Locals

5-6 pm: Linda Weber-Mills: Story Hour- Short Stories, Tall Tales, and Then Some! 1st & 3rd weeks.

7-9 pm: Cal Hermann; Cal’s Place (music) 1st & 3rd weeks.

Robert Feuer: Whatever (music) 2nd & 4th weeks.

11 pm-1 am: Lisa Preschel: Blues After Midnight

Friday:

11 am- 1 pm: Kym Trippsmith, Feisty Females (starts late Feb.?) (music)

9-11 pm: Cathy Corzine; Miss Annie’s Old School- R&B and Soul (starts 2/29)

Saturday:

9-11 am: Jessica Soza: Rivers and Roads- Folk, Americana, Bluegrass (starts 2/23) 2nd & 4th weeks.

Sunday:

9-11 am: Yvette (starts 2/24?): Let’s Talk- What’s On Our Minds Today?

11 am-2 pm: John Stover (music)

8-10 pm: Scott Pinckert (music)

10 pm- 2 am: Captain Chaos; Holy Cow (music)

KPFA 94.1 59,000 watts of alternative everything
KRCB 91.1 (90.9 in SR) Our own local gem
KWMR 90.5 West Marin local
KOWS 107.3 This one
KQED 88.3 News, not music

There are others too depending on where you're picking up the signal

There is also KSVYm 91.3 FM, serving Sonoma and the Sonoma Valley since late March 2004. Live programming from 7 am to ~2 am 7 days per week.

Yes, that is the goal. Unfortunately, I can't give you any time frame right now, but I will provide updates when details become available.

How could you hae left KGGV in Guerneville off your list? It's at 95.1 FM and streaming on kggvfm.org Robert
