Save Armstrong Woods!
48 of our State Parks will be closed to the public if Governor Schwartzenegger's new budget bill passes. Under threat are Sonoma County's own Armstrong Redwoods SP, a rare canyon filled with primeval first-growth Redwoods, and Austin Creek State Recreation Area with its magnificent rolling hills and wildflower-dotted meadows. Both of these threatened parks are in Guerneville, right here in Sonoma County. Also scheduled to be closed are Tomales Bay SP, Henry Coe State Park (The largest State Park in Northern California) Portola Redwoods, The Petaluma Adobe, and many others.
