McCain, Romney and Huckabee going 1,2 and 3 in nearly every CA county? That makes a lot of sense knowing what I know about California Republicans, which is quite a lot.

I haven't watched the videos yet. I'll look, but the 1,2,3 status doesn't surprise me at all. What surprises me is that anyone is voting fore Huckabee at all, let alone that he's taking some states. Ever hear what the man has to say about the Constitution? He's scary and that's what every Republican I've talked to says. He's also unelectable, so I hope he's the Republican nominee.

There was an article in Harper's a couple of years ago that posited one reason for Bush's election: that the Christian right had sent "visiting preachers" to most of the Christian churches in (at least) the South and Midwest in the summer before the election; their essential exhortation was: "Vote for Bush" and those people did. I sincerely hope that you are right, and that Huckabee is unelectable, but this sort of "campaigning" might recur.
