KLEINER'S KORNER FOR WEEK OF JANUARY 28, 2008 Dear Readers,
I thought this might be of interest to some. From the latest "Kleiner's corner"
Very interesting what is happening with the case of the Navy using huge sonars that have been proven to kill marine mammals. Reported here last week was a report that President Bush exempted the Navy from a Federal Court that imposed the strongest-ever protections for whales against an onslaught of military sonar, so it can continue using sonar in its anti-submarine warfare training off the California coast. Now, the Christian Science Monitor is reporting that, "Environmental groups expect a federal judge to rule against the Navy in the coming days, nullifying an exemption signed by Bush last week that environmentalists believe was unconstitutional. The president, says Richard Kendall, an attorney representing the National Resources Defense Council, used an agency within his own executive branch to overturn the federal court ruling limiting the use of sonar during the exercises." [Ed. Note: What laws and courts will this President defy next? This is so completely sick. When people first started complaining about these installations, the Navy said they were to be used for testing global warming in the seas. Right. Sure.

Another justification for impeachment.

Traitor to the environment.
