As you may know, the SCCC operates the Environmental Center in Santa Rosa, www.envirocentersoco.org (https://www.envirocentersoco.org/). A great place to hold free and low-cost meetings and events, the Center is an invaluable resource for the environmental community.
In September 2007 we conducted a questionnaire about the Environmental Awards Dinner and were very happy with the response. In a nutshell, most respondents valued the event, want it to continue and provided lots of ideas on how to make it better. The results are available on request. Thanks much to the 21 people who responded!
We would also like input on how the Sonoma County Environmental Awards could better serve you, your group(s) and our communities. Please visit the web site above to access the questionnaire.
Please read the introduction and guidelines (also below) carefully before responding otherwise your input may be misdirected.

SONOMA COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDS GUIDELINES, 2008
You do not have to be a SCCC member to participate. Anyone can make a nomination.
There are three ways to make nominations – via the website, email or the mail. If you can, please us the web version; it is is easier to use and much easier to compile. You can cut and paste information into it if need be.
Please provide accurate contact information for yourself and your nominee(s). This information will not be used for any other purpose. Incomplete nominations may be rejected by the Awards Committee.
You may make two nominations per award; use additional forms as necessary.
Self nominations are not allowed; ask someone familiar with your work to nominate you or your program.
Please review the list of previous winners at www.envirocentersoco.org/awards (https://www.envirocentersoco.org/awards).
Once your nomination has been accepted, you must:
** Brief the nominee(s),
** Invite them to the event and confirm their attendance and
** Make a reasonable effort to insure they attend.
A limited number of dinner vouchers are available for nominees; these vouchers are reserved for students and people in need. Yes, this means they will have to purchase a ticket.
The awards will be announced at the dinner and via press releases the following week.
