Hi Community,

I'm writing on behalf of a couple and their adult daughter who could use some assistance. They have not asked for help and do not yet know I'm posting this; I'm simply exploring what might be available to assist them.

Briefly: they're living in a Sebastopol rental that appears to be causing tremendous health problems (I think it might be black mold), and have no $ to either move or see a doctor. The husband already has cancer and cannot work. The wife's mother, who was an invalid living with them, passed away two months ago and her daughter had to work the day her mother died. She hasn't even had a chance to grieve, because she couldn't afford to take time off.

I'm wondering if there are some kindhearted souls out there (I know there are, or it wouldn't be Wacco :-) who can offer perhaps a better place to live, even temporarily, at lower cost. They're currently paying $1800 for a 3 bedroom house and now can make do with 2 bedrooms. They do have two dogs and are smokers (outside only). The wife works full time as does the daughter.

If someone could offer free medical services to see what's going on with them and whether it is related to the house, that would also be fantastic, as would cash contributions.

I also know that the husband would like to sell his high-end motorcycle that he can no longer ride.

Please respond to me directly and I will put you in touch with them.

Thanks for caring.

Blessings,
Amara

Thanks, Community!

As always, Wacco has come through and I have amassed a wealth of resources to share with this family. I just phoned the woman and she was absolutely ecstatic about free medical care and the possibility of housing assistance.

And she wants to learn more about Wacco, too :):

Blessings to you all...
Amara
