It is with a heavy heart that I give to you the sad
news of the passing of a dear dance community friend.

Don Lumpkins died unexpectedly at his home in Ukiah on
Sunday Jan 6th.

There will be a service for him at the Center For
Spiritual Living Santa Rosa , 2075 Occidental Road in
Santa Rosa on Friday the 11th at 4:00pm.

There will be an opportunity to place photos, notes
etc. on a memory board at the church office and at the
service.

His warm presence and cheerful smiles will be missed
by so many.

with Love,

Linda McDonald

I awoke today to see Don's obituary in the paper. I am
stunned with sadness and loss. He was the dearest,
most authentic man I've perhaps ever met. You never
left a conversation with him without feeling more
uplifted than when you started.

We took quite a few classes together at The Center for
Spiritual Living and he was an amazing presence.

Don was a model for me in so many ways, especially
around health, vitality, and giving service. He always
championed me on when I struggled with rediscovering
my own inner strength and vitality and force to return
to a state of balanced health.

Especially because he was so fit and into health, this
news is even more upsetting. We just never know how
much time we have left, therefore our footprint needs
to count each day.

Don's footprint on this world is mighty and will long
be remembered. I only wish I had the one more chance
to tell him so.

I will be out of the state on Friday at the service,
but my thoughts will certainly be there. Feel free to
share my note, if you wish.

Don was an amazing presence who worked tirelessly for
his ministry of "empowerment groups" which are small
prayer groups at private homes, through the church of
religious science. I knew him only from signing up to
enjoy, and then provide, empowerment groups for
others, and he remembered my name as well, was always
kind and respectful and giving, offering of himself
and even his home for the cause. He was one of my
favorites in that community. According to his belief
system he has not died, just moved on. Mindy
