I am pretty darned computer savvy, and my laptop is ever so wireless friendly, but I cannot, for the life of me, get my laptop to connect in a wi-fi hotspot in downtown SR, although everyone else around me seems to be totally connected!

What's the secret? I know that Sonic Net provides wi-fi connectivity through the City of SR, but I can't get my laptop to link through any further than SonicNet's main page. Do you have to pay for this supposedly free service?

Any light you wizards out there can shed, will be sooo greatly appreciated!

Start, Settings, Network Connections then Wireless Network and a list should come up. Double click on sonic and you should be able to log in.

a very good start for the sonic wifi rundown is HERE (https://www.sonic.net/whatsnew/pdarticles/111407/)
(it's a Press Demo Article) and even if you arent a sonic subscriber, they will filter you to a friendly tech (numbers and info on their site).
