That includes all the products we buy as well as all the bags in which we haul all that stuff home. So make it a habit to always bring a few reusable bags to the store and consider the climate impact of every purchase. If every American who is asked 'paper or plastic?' responds with 'no thanks,' we'll cut more than a billion pounds of CO2 this month -- that's the equivalent of taking 1.3 million cars off the road!
