Hi there !!
If you live in Santa Rosa and like to garden - there is a community garden in process in downtown Santa Rosa. It is part of an ongoing sustainability project taking place with different leaders in various neighborhoods throughout the city.
Our project began 9 months ago by making Juilliard Park organic! (spray free). We have been weeding & mulching steadily, and are already seeing the benefits.
We have plans to convert an open area into a community garden with native plants, medicinal plants and eventually a small fruit orchard and vegetable beds. (All dedicated to chemical free & spray free).
If you find yourself wanting more space to garden. And would like to meet people in your community, including neighbors, teens, kids, dogs and city workers. This spring downtown will be the happening place to get green. :hifive:
