I have been getting soooooo many scams in my email....
I fell for it once, a very, very, long, long time ago... but got smart before it was way too late for me. I lost some money and took awhile to recover, that was a very expensive lesson. ( I am gullable)
I am now affluent in all frauds, scams, etc...I have done tons of research. I just don't know how to stop getting the emails.
You know as many emails I have received all saying I have won the "email luck pick" or all the Lotto's it seem half a million or so at a time! I would be so rich now if it were true!!!
But they are not....

I wish. But I do know how to manage them well....simply get several free email accounts and only purchase, sign up for things and make risky connections with one or two of them.
I've done this for years....keeping my yahoo account and inbox accounts very clean, and ultimately getting pounded on my mail dot com account but I just stopped using it pretty much after this happened.
My mistake was actually paying 12.95 for a US Grants (available supposedly) site..........I never got one even vaguely useful tip about grants that might be available and I've since gotten probably 500 items of spam.
The interesting thing is that all the spam from this connection was always adressed, "Douglas Hall" or Mr. Hall........always my name and then a million different variations like "Mr. Hall, become a police officer in Sonoma and make $55,000 a year!" "Mr Hall, did you know limousine drivers make 10 times more annually than you ever have in your life?" "Douglas Hall, make money knitting at home in your house in Petaluma!" "Mr. Hall, did you know Uranium Inspectors are now making a six figure income in the Ukraine?"
So what I did was contact Mail dotty commo....and simply ask them if there was anyway to set my spam filter to simply block out any incoming email with my full name on the address line. I never, of course, get ANY legitamate email using my full name....my friends just address me, "HEY SNAKO!"
Anyway I was surprised and disappointed that this was apparently not in the realm of cyber possibilities..............by the way...the grant spam is finally dying down now AFTER A YEAR! but does continue to trickle in a little.
I have been getting soooooo many scams in my email....
Anyone know how to stop them?

Change your email address and DON'T have your ISP reroute your old emails to your new one. It's tough to do it this way but in the long run it's much better to suck it up, make the sacrifice, and start fresh. You will remember those whom you want to have your new e-addy. You will be pleased whenever you open your email account and see that you are only receiving a mere 5 to 10 emails daily, tops! I remember practically jumping in the air and kicking my feet together when I did it and NO MORE SPAM! WHOOPEE!
Good luck,
Edward

I just switched to Gmail and I'm good.
