My dog Jasper, 7 yr. old,N/M cattle dog has bee going to the same doggie day care for the 6 yrs. I've had him....on and off; when he or I has needed a break from one another and he, mostly, has needed more doggie companionship.(he's an only dog) Anyway, I'd like to seek out other, maybe more appropriate situations for him, where he can socialize with smaller groups of dogs( or just 1 or 2 others)and not be so lonely in his day while I'm at work( I work in Sebastopol and live in Occidental). He's very good with dogs his size or smaller,either gender but larger males pose problems sometimes unless they are completely goofy and non-threatening. His world is getting just a bit too small lately and he has little to say at the dinner table any more when I ask, ".....and how was your day?" Anybody out there take their doggie to a place they really like or do YOU have a dog that needs a playmate once and awhile?
